Hello, I have a 75" LG LED tv (model# 75UJ6470). I bought the TV in 2018 and it stopped working this May. I've been on the fence about replacing it because it seems like such a waste of a TV that was working perfectly fine. When I turn it on audio is absolutely fine. The screen is black but has thick grayish vertical bands throughout. I've never damaged it or cracked the screen or anything! Is my tv repairable? If so does anyone know which piece failed / needs to be replaced. Thank you for any suggestions
It could be the timing, main board or panel. Try unhooking the left ribbon cable going to the panel board and see if you get half a picture, (do this with the TV off) if none try the other side and see if you get a half picture, if you do it's the panel thats bad, there is a little trick to fix that but I won't go into that tell I know if this did anything. If you don't get a change in the picture by doing this I'd try replacing the tcon board...Good luck
