All the info/manuals/drivers/upgrades for the iRiver T20 can be found here:

but also:

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

I'm a technically frustrated mum who is trying to download songs from itunes to the E30 MP3 player - i can get the songs to the player but it is coming up as - "this file format is not supported' -...

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. That is why downloading from Itunes do not work, it is the wrong file format.
You can download mp3 music files from the Internet or convert your CDs into mp3 music files onto the computer and then copy them to the IRiver.
For instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-

File errors

http://www.samsungcamera.com/popup/download.asp?prj_uid=741&prol_uid=4153
Download the english manual version pdf file and open with adobe reader go to page 84.
When you upload a file that is not taken by this camera to the removable disk, the [File Error!] message will be displayed on the LCD monitor in the play mode, and nothing is displayed in the THUMBNAIL mode.

Make sure that the memory card is formated in the camera not the memory card reader on the computer. Make sure you save your edited files in jpeg file format. Avi for movies. The manual makes it sound like the camera will not read altered files or files not taken by the camera itself. edited files are not files taken by the camera. Good luck I hope this helps.

Putiing music on the iriver h340

iRiver has a special DRM signature, and only recognizes certain file formats. iTunes will ont work with the iRiver, for instance. Here are the formats recognized:
MP3 file
: WMA file
: OGG file
: ASF file
: IRM file
What is IRM (iRiver Rights Management)?
The IRM is digital copyright information file designed by iRiver
Limited. The IRM technology protects copyright and property from
unauthorized usage of digital contents provided through iRiver
Limited.

Use the proprietary software found on the IRiver website to transfer songs. If they still won't play, run the songs through Media Monkey or another Mp3 Converter to make them playable.

Iriver T20 space problem

This could be because the music type, for example you are probably putting mp3's on your player where wma's are far smaller.

If you haven't try this well visit this link download this software and the songs you want on your computer convert them on this software to WMA's.

http://www.download.com/3000-2140_4-10745045.html

Then upload them on to your player then see if you can store more.

When they explain on it this is a 1GB mp3 player it's more less then 1GB for example my mp3 players 2 GB but when i plug it in it says 1.8GB.

Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful.
