Samsung 245B Hi I've just bought one and connected it to my existing PC (which has a Radeon 800 graphics card). The monitor comes on for a second and then the screen just goes blank. Can you help ? Thanks !

Call Samsung. The unit sounds faulty.

    Every body knows how to contact the supplier if its under warranty but when the warranty expires, then the owner will of course try to solve the problem by asking for help in a forum which of course would be cheaper. Your suggestion is out of the question and impractical as it will incur high cost for the repair.

more than likely your video card has gone bad .. try to get a new video card and install it or take computer to your computer shop and have them replace it for you

Hi,

I think you have not connected power connector to your Radeon HD5570 .
This graphics card have 6pin power connector .
You need a 6pin power connector cable that comes with the graphics card box.

1.First connect your 6pin power connector to Graphics card.
2. Then connect other part of the cable to PSU.

Hey! I´ve bought Sapphire RADEON HD6870
you should check that your motherboard is compatible with this video card or not (search in google or ask support center of the company).
if it is compatible do these steps:
intercept all of cables of your PC case and even power cable of your monitor.
evolve battery of bios then wait for 25 minutes then connect all of cables and try turning on your PC:
1- with battery of bios
2- without battery of bios
it should work.(this works cause the motherboard reset it's bios and start correctly again).
if it doesn't work, surely your video card is damaged. it is not about how you mounted the card or it is not damaged physically by you. this card is damaged while producing in the company.
in fact in every 100 products of a company it is possible that 2 out of them be damaged.
so take your video cad to a guarantee center. they will test it and if it work wrong or doesn't work,they will give you a new video card.

Existing Graphics Card Radeon X300, which one to
I have looked it up on the internet, the graphics card is capable of displaying your monitors resolution. I am therefore assuming you want a new graphics card for 3d applications, since 2d is easily rendered by this card.
However, simply replacing the graphics card will not help. You will probably have a hard time finding a card that can fit on your mainboard, and even if you do, your prcessor will not be fast enough to send the required data to the graphics card.
In this case you will have to buy a new PC, I'm sorry. If I did not understand what you meant, please post a comment.

what the problem is your pc is displaying a resolution you monitor cant display most likely its to low do you have a 2nd monitor you can hook up to set resolution Once you have done that set resolution that your new monitor can take and then hook up . when i moved from a 19inch monitor which ran at 1280 x1024 to a 32 inch samsung 1360x768 i had same problem as my screen cant display that res so set to what ya monitor can do .If you dont have a second display keep connected turn pc off with only your sharp cable in and it should turn on once into windows

you'll have to drag them windowed to your 2nd monitor. Windows automatically will use your primary monitor unless you use software to control where which programs will load.

A good program to use is called Ultramon.

Monitor screen shuts off and on while in DVI mode
First, try updating the ATI drivers. The DVI connection transfers information about screen state back and forth (it's a full two-way connection). If there's some bug in how the SyncMaster and ATI card do this communication (which sounds like the problem) then hopefully the newer drivers will fix it. Otherwise try it out on a RGB cable.
