My LCD of Sony handycam camcorder DCR SX40E isn't working properly. How I get rid of this problem?

Icon and letter are on the screen. But they are not working when I touch them. Then I can't set my camera and can't play or see my shouted photos and movies.

Take it to an Authorised Sony Service Centre for service.

MY SONY DCR-SR190 HDD CAMCORDER LCD SCREEN KEEPS CUTTING OUT, IT

mine started like yours then stopped working at all .It's a flex wire that connecting LCD with camcorder. it's very common. I did by miself, bought it in repair shop. works like new. mine is DCR-SR32 wire is 1-871-457-11 known as 1-871-457-21
