Sorry but I know nothing of the new-fangled fridges and freezers with their codes, but what does tend to stop an appliance that otherwise works well is a lack of cooling air around the motor/compressor unit and when the unit works harder during the summer or in the depths of winter when the heating is full on the thermal protection can cut power to the unit.

Cleaning dust and fluff, ensuring all the power connections are clean and tight and not generating heat and ensuring there is adequate air space between the wall and the unit.

Based off what you have described your Frigidaire freezer is displaying an error code of 36 hours. Normally it will display that once power has been restored, it is indicating that the freezer has been without power for 36 hours. Hold the "alarm reset" for 3 seconds and that should help clear out the code. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

I see that your question is listed under Frigidaire Upright Freezer; however, please help me understand the issue you are experiencing. Is your freezer showing error code OFF? If so, the temperature control is in the OFF position. When this occurs the temperature control turns off the compressor, but does not disconnect the power to the light bulb or other electronics. Let's try activating your freezer by pressing the UP arrow until display shows "4" or desired setting. Please allow 24 hours for temperature to stabilize. For future reference you can lock the control to keep from accidently changing the temperature setting. I hope these troubleshooting tips help you in some small way. Hello - What exactly is your concern? Is the freezer not cooling or displaying an error code?

Is your circulating fan working?
Sometimes they stick and need a shot of WD 40 and then work
it back and forth a little until it wants to take off again. Keep me informed

The light indicates the need for a new battery (9V)

switch off your refrigerator for at least 5 hrs. than again switch it on.. if your problem is not solved that it is sure that your thermostart is not working........please replce it

Also get yourself a stand alone fridge and freezer thermometer - leave it in for an hour -that will establish what the temperature really is which will help in diagnosing the cause.

Also trying unplugging it for 15 minutes so the display board loses power - then plug it back in - sometimes that will reset it.
