I have a Linksys WRT54G2 V1 and was working just fine till it randomly just stopped. All port lights are on, internet light is on, power light is barely lit, and the wifi light is off. The light stay on even if I removed all the port and internet cables. I tried to power cycle and reset but no change. I change power source and power adapter but no improvement. My computer doesn't even detect the router's wifi or direct connection to communicate, cannot access the router interface.
I wasn't updating the firmware, just using the router via port.

What drivers do you want to download? There are not drivers for Linksys router. It works on a software called as firmware? How many wireless computers do you have? What is the operating system on your laptop? If your wireless network is secured then make sure that you have the correct network key.
there are 3 variants of the WRT54G2 , v1, v3 and v5 ensure that you choose the right firmware for the variant(its on the bottom of the router) Go to the US site as this has more uptodate versions of the firmware. For example v1 in the UK is at 188.8.131.52 dated 2008 v1 from the US site is 184.108.40.206 dated 2009

Connect the cable from the LAN port on the DSL modem to any of the 4- LAN ports on the Linksys Swicth (not the port Labelled Internet), then from any of the remaining 4 ports then connect your computer. Also try using a cross-over cable to modem from the DSL LAN port to the Linksys.
