All microwaves has both internal thermal cut out and internal fuse, Yours problem sounds like an open 9 volts transformer that power up the front panel

Adj door latch switch assembly. It is not aligned properly preventing the door hooks to engage.

It may be in demo mode.  On some units if you hit the timer/clock button 4 times to turn demo off.
