My sharp washing machine ES-V80FZ-S is showing error code E01. What could be the issue and how do I resolve this?
Error code E01 on a Sharp washing machine typically indicates a problem with the door lock mechanism. This could be due to a faulty door lock or a problem with the wiring or control board. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:
Check if the door of the washing machine is properly closed. If not, close it firmly and see if the error code disappears.
If the door is properly closed, check the door lock mechanism for any visible damage or wear and tear. If you find any, replace the door lock mechanism.
Check the wiring between the door lock mechanism and the control board for any visible damage or loose connections. If you find any, repair or replace the wiring as necessary.
If steps 2 and 3 don't resolve the issue, it may be a problem with the control board. In this case, it's best to contact a professional technician to diagnose and fix the problem.
As a safety precaution, unplug the washing machine from the power supply before attempting any repairs or maintenance.
If you're unsure about any of these steps, or if you're unable to resolve the issue yourself, it's best to contact a qualified technician or Sharp customer support for further assistance.
Defy washing machine E01 error
What does an E01 mean on a Defy washing machine
An E01 error code on a Defy washing machine typically indicates a problem with the door or lid. This could be caused by a malfunctioning door lock, a problem with the door seal, or an issue with the lid switch. The error code may also indicate that the door is not properly closed or that there is an issue with the wiring or connections related to the door or lid. It is recommended to check the door lock, door seal, lid switch, and wiring connections
The E01 error code can indicate a problem with the water intake, the water temperature, or the door lock. First, check to make sure that the water intake is not blocked or kinked. If the water intake is clear, then check the water temperature setting. The water temperature should be set to the appropriate setting for the load. Finally, check the door lock to make sure that it is properly engaged and that the door is completely closed. If none of these steps resolves the E01 error code, then you may need to contact a professional to service the machine.
Error code E07 indicates that there is an issue with either the washing machines door lock or a problem the motor. In some washer models error code E01 will be displayed if there is a door lock fault problem.
Hello. I really need the make/model number to help you accurately. However, depending on the model dryer you have, look on the control panel for a button or buttons that have a "key" symbol or the word "lock" underneath. Normally, you would hold the button down for 3-5 seconds until the lock light goes out. This is the indication that the control panel is unlocked and normal operation can be initiated. The manufacturers put a panel-lock feature on the units to prevent "busy little hands" or others from changing settings, for unattended safety, etc. Dishwashers, ovens, ranges, and other appliances also have locks for the control panel. If your dryer initiated a control lock by itself, this would indicate a shorted button on the control panel--soft touch buttons and glass touch-control panels are notorious for doing this. If I have the model number, I can usually provide the part number and/or procedure for getting into diagnostic mode to see any stored error codes(if any) which would help pinpoint a problem. I hope I helped you!
You have the control-lock function turned on. There should be a key located near (above or below) the lighted lock symbol. Usually, it's the Heated Dry button. Whatever it is, press and hold that key for 5 seconds. That should unlock your dishwasher and you can now use it normally.
The
model indicated: MDB5651A does not have display and the error codes are
shown like flashing lights. If that is your model and problem please
just tell me what lights are flashing.
In Maytag with display
instead, the L on display means that the machine is control locked. That
is not an error message, but a code telling that the machine has been
locked by the user (probably by mistake since you are the user).
I quote from Maytag technical documentation:
? If a cycle or option pad is pressed after the controls have been
locked, the indicator light next to lock graphic will flash five
times. On selected models with a countdown display, the display will
flash the symbol "L" simultaneously with lock indicator.
? This option does not lock the door, only the dishwasher controls.
To set :
1. Press the Heated Dry pad for three seconds.
2. An indicator light next to the lock graphic will illuminate when the controls are locked.
To Cancel Control Lock:
1. Press the Heated Dry pad for three seconds.
2. The indicator light will go off as instructed.
Try pressing the the Heated Dry pad for three seconds. If that doesn't work disconnect power.
Connect back and try again unlock (power off does not remove the lock).
If that still does not work there may be a faulty part. In that case
turn appliance off and give me the full model number.
Start
holding down the Heated Dry pad for three seconds. In normal conditions
that is enough to get rid of the L and of control lock.
Hi and welcome to Fixya,
The E01 error for your bosch indicates a door lock problem has been detected at the control board. Insure the door is closed tight, turn your breaker off or unplug the washer for a couple of minutes and retry. Let me know what happens, ultimately it may be a faulty lock assembly, a loose wire harness etc. but we'll cross that bridge when we get there...if necessary.
I'll watch for you to respond with the result's.
Good luck.
Macmarkus :)
The rice cooker lid has to be closed and the dial knob has to be in the lock position (turing on the pressure lamp) before cooking can start. There are two tiny wires sending signal to the main controller to indicate that the cooker is in lock position. The wires are vey tiny and they can break over the years as a result of opening and closing the lid many times. When these wires are broken, the main controller cannot detect the lock position and will give E01 Error.
