open the top. there is a trough drain that gets limed up. using a phillips head screwdriver, push through and twist, thereby removing the lime and ensuring proper flow. if water can't get through, it may overflow over the sides of the trough. also look behind the trough to the top of the tank and see if there is any water damage around the seals. if there is, replace the seals
water tank inlet in the top possibly limed up causing pan to overflow. remove top, use screwdriver or deliming spring to poke through the drain nut in the pan. should work fine now
if it's actually boiling, replace the high temp limit fuse on the top of the tank on the inside rear of the brewer. may be stuck shut. if it's just overflowing the container, recallibrate by using a 64 ounce measuring cup and the instruction on the inside of the front panel
Which grommet, there are several on the bunn models, but the most commonly replaced one is the one for the P. stat. Remove the top panel there are 2 screws one in front and one in back, then lift the top 2 burners off machine that will give you access to the tank.
Remove the top panel and look for the yellow float, this controls the amount of water brewed, to adjust remove some of the washers on the float and test until you get the amount needed.
Yes, but you need the pre weighed grommets from bunn, if you remove the top panel on the machine you will see the brew tank, within that there will be brown plastic shaft with a yellowish cylinder on top of it. There might be 3 or 4 washers on top of that yellow piece, those are the weights, when the water fills the tank it pushes the float up and when it reaches the top it turns off the solenoid. You should be able to try it without the top on.
before plugging in place your empty filter basket in the coffee maker and place a pot under it. Slowly pour in two pots of water using the pour pitcher. Now you can plug it in. it'll take 15 min to heat up first time . when you brew your first pot leave your water level a little short, because the water will expand (only the first time)
