I have a Simpson SWT902SA washing machine that seems to wash OK but usually won't drain/rinse/spin. I just get 11 beeps with the "spin" and "deep rinse" lights flashing every 15-30 seconds or so.
I've continued to do some research and managed to find the manual for this model online. It seems the spin and deep rinse lights flashing at the same time is indicating a blocked drain hose but the hose appears to be fine - if I let the machine sit and beep/flash for a long time it will often start working again normally (proving the drain hose isn't blocked) so could it be a sensor issue of some kind?I've continued to do some research and managed to find the manual for this model online. If the water won't drain out of your washing machine, either something is stuck in the drain hose or pump, or the pump is broken. Both fixes are simple if you're even just a little bit handy with tools. We're showing the repair on a Maytag washing machine. What is wrong with a washer that does not spin?
If your washer fills with water but doesn't agitate, the problem is likely to be a faulty lid switch, a broken belt, or a problem with the motor. (Note: Direct-drivewashing machines do not have belts.) To diagnose the problem, do the following: 1Check the washing machine's spin cycle.
If the washer won't drain there might be a clogged pump or hose. It's common for small socks or other small clothing items to get into the water drain system and clog the hose leading to the pump or the pump itself. Remove the hoses from the pump in order to remove the article of clothing.
That sounds like the pump is jammed. Have you checked for hair slides or similar? Once the pump is free to operate, your Simpson should resume normal service.
Hi there, it sounds like your drain pump is not working. Tip the washing machine back and look underneath. The drain pump has a little black fan on it. Disconnect the hose to see if there's anything stuck in the drain, like coins, hair clips etc. Clear out the pump and remember to reconnect the hose securely before trying out the washing machine.
Please remember to rate this solution, thanks.
Hi Tina just read your posting. From the information in your posting the machine fills, then when the machine is full of water the agitator moves clockwise then anticlockwise until it gets to the rinse cycle then drains the water ,then it fills for the rinse cycle but does not move the agitator in the rinse cycle. Then it drains and spins the clothes dry .Is this assessment of your posting correct. If it is not 100% correct please reply to tell me what the machine is doing or not doing. If it is correct then the problem with your machine is the control board. Is your model the electronic one with the push buttons?Looking forward to your reply.
