Not worth repairing at that age in my opinion. Technology has moved on in picture quality and prices have become more competitive. Dynex was a budget make to start with.
Hello? This could be an issue with back lights or T-con. If you look the tv in a fairly dark room, it is most likely that you will see images but from a far. If this does not help, ask more here Ask question Electronics questions answered
It sounds like the CATV portion of the TV tuner is bad--Cable band.
You may have an option---with a cable box that has the audio/video jacks for output of signal on its rear side connect to a unused video input on rear of set--go to that input and change channel via the box---BY PASS THE TUNER IN THE SET THIS WAY.
When the picture goes out, try to open and access the TVs menu using the Dynex remote. if the menu fails to open up you can bet there is a problem with the backlight on the TV. Letting the TV rest and then it working again indicates heat as the source of the problem. Check to see if your still in your 1yr warranty or if you have a protection plan at best buy, the TV needs help.
If the Menu were to still open, you can blame your cable/satellite set top box.
I turn on my DYNEX LCD-TV model
DX-L26-10A and the screen says 'Please Wait" for a few seconds and then
I hear the voices for the channel, but there is no picture and there is
