SOURCE: disk error
Hello anuhera, This is a very common problem with the cd400 camera, I have learned the hard way that Sony's recommendation to use their [expensive] media was more than just self interest. There are a lot of quality issues with CD media. As my camera has aged it is more and more intolerant of off-brand media. This is true even though I have not shot more than a 1000 images with the camera. While I can plan on getting the c:13:01 error with unbranded disks, I can still use the Sony disks without much if any problem. To get your pictures back, go to www.cdroller.com and download their recovery software, worked great for me. Let me know if you need any additional info. Best regards, nightdiver

I had a drive error message on my sony mavica cd-1000 camera and was unable to finalize my disk and it had photos that were irreplaceable on it. My father passed away sept 1 and they were of him in his last days. I found a software program that I purchased online for under $40. Its called cdroller. Once I bought it - I downloaded it from the link they provided and registered it and popped my disk in and in a matter of minutes it found all my photos and I was able to download them. So to say I am elated is an understatement. http://www.cdroller.com/

some of the non-Sony mini-cd's will just not work. Get the real thing and this problem should go away.

I have had similar problem and i think it's a problem with the disc. Make sure the disk is clean and unscratched. Check your other discs, too, to see if they are giving you the same problem. If not, it' is most likely the disc and not the camera.
