as you can see there is very little in the box.
    a box (chassis)
    a PCB
    wires.
    button.
    battery

one of those 5 things are bad.
only testing finds it or guessing parts 1 by 1, going broke in the process

if the battery reads 12.6vdc. it is good
    so 4 things.

I lay odds PCB bad (the main board)

it is toy grade, this. far better exist.

Possibly a broken wire or bad connection. Maybe a dead UPS.

SOURCE: APC SU700I NET UPS UNIT

You need to do UPS manufacturing calibration after the battery replacement. beacuse if you dont do this the UPS is till assuming that your battery is still an old one.

My ups is nu meric digital 600ex.my problem is whenever i on my ups a orange light is burning continuously and ups is not working what is problem in that i cant understand pls tell me solution

Hi Lokesh,

Orange lights on most UPS systems we've come across indicate that the unit is overloaded - you have too many things drawing too much power plugged into it.

Hope that helps.

Hi Santhosh,

Have you checked to see if the batteries in the UPS are any good? Most UPS systems refuse to turn on if dead batteries are attached.

Canon 600ex-rt speedlite won't turn on with new batteries

I was having exactly the same issue with my 600EX-RT. This is what solved the problem for me. With the power turned off. Hold down the 2 clear buttons for approximately 5 seconds, then turn the power on and hopefully, you should have a fully operational Flash.

APC PRO1300 F04 CLAMP SHORT ERROR CODE WHAT DOES IT MEAN AND HOW CAN I FIX?

F04 indicates that "Clamp Short" it could be anything, but the word "clamp" reminds me of a varistor / MOV, which is the component that clamps short when there is a voltage surge condition and comes back to its normal state, an open circuit, when the voltage surge is gone. Sometimes it clamps short for good when it is hit by a large surge or just by absorbing and shunting to ground many small surges.

You can brain dead the UPS to check if that resolves the issue. This brain dead test helps to reset the internal circuit of UPS.

1. Disconnect any attached load.
2. Turn off the UPS
3. Unplug the UPS from the wall socket.
4. Disconnect the UPS internal battery.
5. Push and hold the "On" button on the UPS for 5 seconds.
6. Reconnect internal battery.
7. Plug UPS in to known good power source.
8. Turn the UPS ON.

If the same issue remains even after brain dead then you have to replace the UPS. This UPS comes with 3 years of warranty, if it is under warranty you can contact APC support at 800 555 2725

If the UPS is out of warranty then you can participate in APC Trade-UPS program. APC has Trade-UPS program where in you can trade your old unit and get a new unit with great discount. You will also get a return shipping label to ship the trade-in unit to us. You can refer to the below mentioned URL.

Inverter fault

This unit will require you to Brain dead the whole UPS.
To see if it is actually a condition that exists with the hardware or if it was just a lock condition.
Steps:
1)Power down unit completely
2)Unplug all batteries
3)Unplug from wall

4)Leave unplugged for about 5 minutes or so WITH NO POWER AT ALL.

5)Plug batteries back in
6)Plug back into wall
7) Turn unit back on

Log into console of UPS and see if the condition returns.
If it does not return your good to go.

If the error returns. You have to replace the WHOLE battery pack.

APC has told me their units are typically good for 4-6 years, after that their units cannot hold the same tolerances as they did when they were brand new.

Hope this helps.

Its not starts properly,my batteries are in good condition

Normally if this UPS is in working condition and the batteries are also good, you should be able to start the UPS by just using the battery cabinet. As soon as power is applied the fan must run and the 4 yellow led for battery/load should lit up. If it is completely dead, then a qualified technician will have to check the internal circuit. It has one main board on which all power components are mounted and a separate control board. Generally there is a 80/100 A than goes opened. I hope you can give us more information if the UPS is completely dead or the led comes up

Wont turn on acts like it's dead?

The batteries in these systems can last for 3-6 years, or shorter if damage occurs. You might want to check the battery using a voltmeter, or just order a new battery. You can check out http://www.batteryinternational.com/ups-batteries.html for a new battery.
