I got a used Euro-pro sewing machine model # 464 XC. it doesn't seem to have a bobbin case under the needle. Shouldn't it have one? Where can i buy one?

Try installing a brand new needle. Bent/damaged needles will sometimes not pick up the bobbin thread.
Make sure the machine is threaded correctly. Check the bobbin--ie, it is turning the correct direction in the bobbin case and is threaded properly through the bobbin tension.
A sewing machine operator can often help themselves when their machine does not operate properly. Here are some simple instructions, which if properly used can save time and mechanics service calls. Go buy a can of canned air from a computer store and blow out your bobbin case area and any other lint you see.
Then place a drop of of on the needle bar (right above the screw that holds the needle in) and one drop where the hook (silver part) goes around the bobbin case (black part that holds the bobbin case) (see picture)
Try flipping the bobbin spool so the thread comes off in the other direction.
Forcing means that the needle has been jammed against the sewing plate ant the needle is now out of timing with the bobbin pickup.
Sew4Less,com has a bobbin case listed for $19.95. Go to www.Sew4Less.com. In the blue box on the home page, fill in the blanks. Step 1: bobbin case. Step 2: Euro-Pro Step 3: 9025 Step 4 click Find Products and you're there!
If you're having the same problem we did, the attachment is installed too high on the bar. Move it down as far as possible and see if that solves the problem. If it doesn't, check to see whether the machine is belt-driven; did the belt break or slip off?
you need a new bobbin case, only problem is finding the right one. I am currently wasting hours trying to find one for our 9110 intelli sew which has needle holes punched through it from where it jumps right out. I think lots of manufacturers know fine which parts fit the Euro-Pro but would like all of us to scrap them and go out and buy theirs!
In order to see whether or not my euro-pro 9110 had a timing issue, the service rep had me change out the needle (making sure I was using anything but a Singer brand needle--they do not work in these machines). I re-threaded the needle, took out the bobbin casing and the plastic ring encasing the bobbin, then lowered the needle to see if the hook on the metal ring holding the bobbin actually catches the thread on its own. If it doesn't catch, it's a timing issue and needs repair. They can walk you through this process of troubleshooting and set up repair if need. I have the same machine with the same issues. I am so frustrated! Here is how I am going to solve my problem in 4 simple steps: Step 1. Open garbage can. Step 2. Throw piece of **** supposed sewing machine into can. Step 3. Cover garbage can, cursing loudly. Step 4. Purchase a brand name sewing machine with a real warranty!
