You need a data plan and you don't have one because you can't. This is an 8 year old, antique, non-smart phone. You can connect via wifi only. You can't put WhatsApp on it. It is a third world phone now, recycled from other parts of the world.

it is probably not whatsapp it is probably nokia asha. whatsapp is landscape/portrait compatible. or maybe whatsapp for nokia asha is not landscape compatible. you can go and check in the settings of nokia and see if orientation is enabled. have u tried using any other app or browser in landscape mode on the same phone ?
