SOURCE: TV screen on video 2 and remote died

The only way your going to change the video mode is with the original remote. If you need another remote go to http://remotes.com or call 1800 remotes Theres a button on the upper left hand side of the remote called video mode. A universal most of the time will not work this function. You could ask around to your friends and buddies or relitives if anyone has a working Sanyo remote or go to a local retailer that sells Sanyo and see if he would let you borrow one for a little while so you can switch out of the video mode. Good Luck

SOURCE: Tv powers up but no

The electronics are known to go bad with these TV's, and I'm looking to buy someone's junk TV that has a good screen, rather than have to throw it out.
(So if anyone is out there with a 532-B12 that isn't working, send me a message!)

Yours might be worth fixing - however I know sadly that parts are nearly impossible to get for these TV's, and the manufacturer is virtually impossible to contact.
If you DO manage to contact anyone (manufacturer or otherwise) who can source or supply parts, PLEASE do let me know - it's been nearly impossible for me, and I want to replace my cracked screen in my TV.
If you can't, please let me know - I'll gladly give you a few bucks at least to salvage the screen from your TV, to transplant into mine, rather than turning it into junk on your curb.

SOURCE: olevia tv

It sounds like a logic issue. The only way to fix it is by replacing the main board. If it is less than a year old, then it should be covered by the standard manufacture's warranty. Olevia has since gone out of business but I would still try to contact a representative to get it repaired under warranty.

WHEN I PLUG INTO ANTENNAE--I GET " NO SIGNAL"---BUT I KNOW THAT THERE IS A SIGNAL BECAUSE I GET A PERFECT PICTURE ON MY SONY COLOR TV? HOW CAN I GET THE OLEVIA TO RECOGNIZE THE ANTENNAE SIGNAL?

You'll need to use the Olevia remote and press the MENU or SETTINGS button. The choose the SETUP or MEMORIZE CHANNELS option. MEMORIZE CHANNELS may be in an ANTENNA screen.

When you memorize channels you'll need to set the option for Antenna or Cable TV then have it memorize channels.

The television will run through each channel looking for signal and memorize those it finds. Sometimes it finds a very weak signal and you'll need to manually remove some.

I can't get my Olevia tv (537-B11) to scan for channels

I don't know this model of TV, however, you may find that you need to use the Source button on the remote to cycle through the available inputs & select digital tuner as the input source before you press the Menu button & go into the setup section.

How do you autoscan the olevia 232 t lcd hdtv? I connected an antenna and using a uneversal remote. it just sits there displaying 'no signal'

In the remote, select the input as antenna. It might be now lying as some other input. Normally the TV itself searches for channels. If it is not, go to menu in the remote control, select install-auto and press ok.

How do I program the tv to use without cable?

Hi,

1.Power on the television and press the "Menu" button on the Olevia TV's remote control.
2 Choose the "Programming" option to view all of the Olevia setup options.
3 Choose the "Channel Program" option, then select either "Antenna" or "Cable" (select "Cable" when using a satellite receiver).
4 Select "Start" and the Oleiva TV scans over all the stations it receives. Once complete, is stores the information into its memory bank, so when you attempt to change the television station you only see programs that come in clear onto the TV.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
