If you've got bad luck like I do, you probably blew out the circuit board! It took my Bernina dealer 4 months to get another from Sweden; thank goodness they gave me a loaner.
Unfortunately, it happened again right after I picked it up from the dealer, and they have to find another circuit board for it! It's not a problem with my electrical wiring because the loaner ran just fine.
It's very, very frustrating because I'm a small business and need my machine running!

You can only oil the moving parts that you can see unless you want to take the machine apart which I do not recommend.

You may need to increase the foot pressure to cope with the heavy denim material. Look carefully at the material as the machine tries to stitch ... if the foot is not keeping the material firmly on the stitch plate, it might be riding up on the needle (denim tends to be rather 'grippy') which will prevent the thread loop being formed correctly below the stitch-plate and therefore not getting picked-up by the CB hook. Changing to a bigger diameter needle might actually make the situation worse in this case ... go back to an 80 and try again.
