Why does my GE TV 13TVR40 not turn on? - GE Televison & Video

just point at tv press tv button then power on off till it responds u have to turn the tv on man. first i have the codes but not the time to load all

turn on your tv by the power button
the direct tv call them for a remote

1- Look at the GE manual and find the code of your LXI TV.
2- Aim the remote control at the TV and press on TV.
3- Aim the remote control at the TV again and enter the code.
4- Try to turn off and on the TV from the remote control. If it turns off then the remote is working fine....

Tell me if every thing is OK

go to the tv and try if i dont work try to unplug your cablebox

Most likely there is a problem in the power supply circuit inside the set. This probably would not be cost effective to repair. Thanks

It ur high voltage is dead.Ur FBT,the flyback transformer is dead.The big block of plastic with a red wire with a cap hook to ur CRT(tv tube).That must be replace.

Called a service technician. Found bad board and wanted $437.00 I bought a new TV

Replace EEPROM IC.+ solder any/all bad connects, esp.tuner circuitry ground connections. OR--cut open the trace between U1901 IC and Q1903-E to restore sound.
