It;s general error or fatal error. Find the Adjusment Program for R1900, then Click Printer Information Check. You will find the latest fatal Error code. You can figure the actual error of your printer.

Power off and the paper and ink flashing fast:
The print head is obstructed by paper or other foreign material. Turn off the printer, remove any obstructions, and turn it back on. If the error persists, contact Epson
have you check your ink cartridge? check whether it works or not by installing to same printer using your cartridge. i think there must be broken circuit inside
alternating flashing lights on ink and paper could mean that your printer is locked The cause waste ink pads are full Option should be to take the printer to your nearest Service centre and have it diagnosed and new ink pads fitted cost between £50 to £60
Or you could remove the waste ink pads yourself and replace them or wash them out dry them using a hairdryer etc and replace them you will then need to have your prnter reset
What you will need is a service manual for your printer model, and a restet utility you can get the reset utility free of charge from the internet
May I suggest that once you have done this you consider getting an external waste ink jit and fit it
no more stripping the printer and messing with ink pads it only takes five minutes to fit and is very easy to empty
Did you find a fix to this? My printer started doing this as well.
