SOURCE: replacing factory radio

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} This is slightly tricky. Start by removing the trim around the shifter, its friction fitted so it will pop off with gentle force. Then you can remove the larger piece of trim that surrounds the shifter and extends up to the cup holders, I found that prying from the cup holder end seems to work best. Now you will be able to remove the trim that runs down the side of the center consol and includes the cup holders and power plug, you undo the 2 screws near the shifters then pry it off down the sides and pulls clear from the dash. Only then can you undo the bolts that hold down the bottom of the radio frame. From there it becomes alot easier. Push on the frame where you just pulled the bolts out of while prying gently at the radio consol. The whole thing will come out the factory unit comes out easily then you can put your dash adapter (schoche makes a decent kit) and aftermarket unit in.

SOURCE: Can I use a Chrysler/Infinity amp with aftermarker JVC radio?

it wouldn't be advised unless there are rca connections into the amp. these are the same as the inputs in the back of the jvc. It is possible to connect into an amplifier using speaker cable but i wouldn;t advise doing this unless you know what your doing.

I have a 1995 saturn sl1. And i took out my factory radio and Will be putting in a JVC KW-AV50 stereo. My question is, how the hell to i wire the jvc up?

Get an aftermarket harness and dash kit for your car. Harness plugs into existing factory harness. Color coded for radio.

I need a owners manual ins. for kwx568 auto radio

Could the model be the JVC KW-XS68 CD/AM/FM receiver? Most JVC product manuals are available here: . The direct link to the Instructions for the KW-XS68 is currently . The installation guide is .

I hope this helps. I can't find any radio model with the number KW-X568.

Looking for how to reset door entry code 2010 mercury mountaineer

If you don't have the original code you can't. If you have an aftermarket radio, you can't. I can reset them with my scanner. But not if the radio isn't factory. I don't know if the dealer can. Call around.

My stereo says protect on it n it wont let me do anything. It has an amp in the gack oft he car that is attached when i biught the car it already had this installed

This could be one of two issues. Since you aren't saying whether what brand stereo is is or model we can only conjecture at a possible cause.

1. The amplifier was over driven and went into self-protect. These usually self-correct, so it may not be the case here unless the amp is damaged.

2. The radio itself is in security mode. If the radio has a security feature (and most factory and some aftermarket units do), it power was interrupted to the unit it will lock up until an unlock code is entered. This is to prevent theft. If this is the case you need to locate and enter the unlock code to get the unit to work again. Factory units usually have a card in the vehicle literature from the dealer that gives the code. Aftermarket units provide the code with the packaging. If you don't have, didn't get, or lost this data, you'll need to contact a dealer for factory radios and find out what info you need to obtain to get the code. If it is an aftermarket unit, you will need to contact the manufacturer for the code.

How do I add the security code for the stereo unit after changing over to a different unit?

To help further we need to know what make and model of vehicle you have also what radio you have, but usually after you replace the factory headunit in your vehicle with an aftermarket one ie. Gm -> alpine you will no longer need a code because the aftermarket head unit does not have a security system like the factory one

I just bought a new kw-AVX740 radio and i have a 01 mustang and i don't really no how to install it

first and foremost you need to buy a car audio installation kit for your car model and year. Wal mart has some, but i think you may need to drive down to your local car audio shop and buy one from them if wal mart don't have them. Remove the old/factory radio. If an aftermarket radio is already installed then you may get lucky and find the harness already installed, but depending on what kind or radio it is( ex: DIN or Double DIN), but the specs for your radio is Double DIN(fat) so you may still need to buy the installation kit. Once you have the kit, everything is color coded, just match the wires and connect, then plug the harness after you have secured the wires. For a clean professional installation look, solder your wires(60/40 solder and soldering iron needed) and seal the connection with a heat shrink tube(audio shop carries the tube as well) and your good to go. I found you the install manual, just copy and paste(make sure all wires are connected with keys off the ignition until everything is good and connected)

The battery in my valkswagen died and when it was charged back up my raido stoped working what do i do?

you will need to find the security code for radio and put put that in for radio to start working again

if it is factory radio most car makers put a sticker in glove box that only has some numbers on it and no other info - that is usually the radio unlock code

if it is aftermarket radio it might be stuck into the owners manual - which will also tell you procedure for putting that code into radio

only other thing i could think of is that a fuse for radio has blown

good luck

Volume on honda civic radio not working

atxhonda is right. Your going to have to replace the stereo and an aft mkt stereo will be the cheapest by far, however you should know that 96-00 Civics keyless entry control unit is inside the factory unit and by replacing it with an aftermarket deck you will lose you factory keyless entry system. If you don't have or use honda factory keyless entry or maybe you have an aft mkt keyless entry installed than I would go with the aft mkt deck.

Connect jvc kd-lh1150 in elantra 2001... different connector

Hello claude_bouth,You need a vehicle specific aftermarket connector generally called a "wiring harness". Your JVC came with a plug that fits the back of the receiver with "pigtail" wires which you splice to the harness wires. sells the Metra 70-7301 which appears to be the correct harness for your Elantra. You can tap into the wiring of the car harness and splice the wires by function into the appropriate car wires, but using the aftermarket vehicle specific wiring harness is a lot easier and you don't need to disturb the vehicle wiring in any way, just plug into it. It also makes it possible to re-install the factory radio if you ever need to do so. If you choose to tap and splice, you can find your Elantra's wiring color code at this helps.
