    The best sound will always be the one you like to listen to. It is impossible to tell you what to do. it all depends on the audio space, interior furnishings, materials, and of course program type, but most of all what you like to hear. Set the eq flat then play something you really know and like adjust the eq until you are happy, then enjoy the sound.

Codes for RCA RTD315
if you need a remote for the rtd315w you can use the RCA D771. Put the code in manually in the AUX 1. Use the codes from the audio system section of the manual under RCA and RCA/DIxxxx. I don't remember which code, but it gave me on/off, volume control, and DVD menu navigation (on the guide and goback buttons).

RCA RTD315 Theater System The DVD Player recently
My identical system has exactly the same problem as the one described by dipaola, above. When I insert a DVD, the DVD carriage pops back open after a few seconds. In fact, mine won't stay closed even without a DVD in it, as long as the system is set to play a DVD. I'd like an answer to the big Q - Is there anything I can do about this, or should I just find another DVD player to hook into the system?
