The only Reset is unplugging waiting a few mins and plug it back in. If not perhaps the lid locks have failed.

SOURCE: washing machine not working

This normally indicates one of two problems.

1), the overflow pipe that goes into the sump is blocked and needs unblocking. (make sure that you have a bucket and towels at hand)
2) the carbon brushes in the motor have worn down. If the motor is on top of the machine which I believe it is on this model they are fairly cheap and easy to replace. Most washine machine repair shops sell these as spare parts.

I hope this helps

SOURCE: kenmore washing machine washes but does not release the water.

If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out.

To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port.

Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator, top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job.

If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump.

SOURCE: my washing machine center pole does not rotate properly

have you taken out the agitator to see if the splines in the top are maybe stripped and not allowing it to get a good grip on the top of the transmission (or center pole as you called it)?

Wash down

Since down comforters are very light in weight, they confuse energy efficient front loader washing machines in how much water to add. Therefore, very little water is used, which results in a semi-damp comforter at the end of a wash. Pre-soaking the comforter beforehand would help, however, now the comforter weighs a ton, and the machine will vibrate like crazy during a spin cycle. It may be better to have the comforter dry cleaned.

My washing machine wfs1273bw keeps saying clean pump, how do i do this. I have released the plug on the bottom right corner which lets water out but then it happens again....

Releasing the plug to drain the water won't solve your problem. Your washing machine has a pump that controls the flow of water. There might be an object like coins, or metal from your laundry that may have been included during the washing and is now blocking the pump. Try to unscrew the paddle that rotates during washing. By removing it, you can manually remove any possible obstacle that keeps blocking your pump that causes your washing machine to alert you to clean the pump.

I am trying to start a cyle and everytime i push the cycle button it does not light up and the quick rinse button comes on and flashes nothing works at all if i push heavy wash it comes on and nothing...

You haven't told me how many times the light flashes, but I will take a guess that this is an error code associated with the water entering the machine being too cool. I believe the machine expects the water to enter at 110 degrees F (43 Degrees C).

To clear the error, press "Heated Dry" then release, then press "Normal Wash" then release and repeat this sequence until all the lights on the machine go solid green. Once this happens, hit ""Cancel" and the machine will reset.

The fix for the root of the problem is to increase the temperature of the incoming water in future (Turn up your water heater temperature a little)

I put my comforter in the washer on slow and large wash, but it stopped after about 5 minutes and water had flowed out. what do i do now?

Never wash a comforter in your home machine. Laundry mat is where you was that one. A comforter will break the drive coupling. This video shows how to replace that drive coupling. Note: For a more precise answer you need to post your model number.

Out of balance

Did your clutch pulley use the upper One-Way Bearing ring?

What are the first two digits of your Serial Number of the machine?

What is the history of the Clutch install? Did the unbalance issue continue right away with the new Clutch Install?

How much rust did you find on the Clutch Pulley and the Upper One-Way Roller clutches bearing ring if used? Any Pic’s of the old Clutch Pulley?

If you shut off the water source valves to the machine and release the top the washer so you can lift the washer top and observe the wash basket rotating CCW at 50 RPM during the water fill part of the wash cycle.

Start a quick wash cycle and lift the washer top to observe the wash basket rotation CCW. The wash Basket will rotate CCW at 50 RPM. You can go into Service Mode and observe on the LED console FAV6800A machine. Not sure about the FAV9800A LCD flavor of the machine.

Do the tumblers rotate slightly during the water fill part of the cycle?

The machine may error out with NF for No Fill don’t worry about that I just want to determine if the tumblers are rotating during the CCW/Spin direction of the wash basket. You may have to put some dry laundry in the wash basket to help with the observation.

Let me know what you see……..Rich

Washer will not drain after wash cycle it has a constant beep. I have tried unplugging for sixty seconds.

Most common problem is something jammed in the pump or less common, the pump has failed. Unplug from wall... Make sure you have got all the water out of the machine and lean it back against the wall, so you can get to the pump, Remove pump by rotating it anticlockwise. Watch for plastic latch which you'll have to release to allow rotation. Make sure nothing is in tube and channels, check that pump spins freely and replace. Try not to allow water to spill onto motor assembly....If in doubt, call a tech Not a big job....Good luck....Nomess
