SOURCE: washing a comforter and machine stalls. Code says Door is open..it isn't and will not let me open it. What now?

The only Reset is unplugging waiting a few mins and plug it back in. If not perhaps the lid locks have failed.

SOURCE: washing machine not working

This normally indicates one of two problems.

1), the overflow pipe that goes into the sump is blocked and needs unblocking. (make sure that you have a bucket and towels at hand)
2) the carbon brushes in the motor have worn down. If the motor is on top of the machine which I believe it is on this model they are fairly cheap and easy to replace. Most washine machine repair shops sell these as spare parts.

I hope this helps

SOURCE: kenmore washing machine washes but does not release the water.

If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out.

To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port.

Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator, top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job.

If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump.

SOURCE: my washing machine center pole does not rotate properly

have you taken out the agitator to see if the splines in the top are maybe stripped and not allowing it to get a good grip on the top of the transmission (or center pole as you called it)?

Why My Home Comfort HCWT 2601 Won't Drain. I Can Here The Pump, But No Draining. Thank-You In Advance For Help.

Sounds like there is a blockage somewhere and the most likely place is in what's called the Penny trap, there is usually an access point near bottom of machine before the pump which collects coins or buttons ect.check to see if anything is preventing drainage.

Home Comfort HCWP1201 Portable Washing Machine doesn't spin...

Sounds like the belt is either broken or slipped off,or the pulleys on the motor or basin are not turning. Most likely it will be the belt. If you can open the panel you should be able to see the problem. If it is the belt, you may find the part at any appliance shop and fix it yourself. If the pulleys are not turning the belt, there could be a few different reasons for this. You would have to look at them and find out why. They may be fixable but it would depend on the specific problem. If the machine is still under a warranty,it would be best to take it to the dealer.

Washer fills with water but doesn't begin to agitate to wash. It also drains but doesn't spin when we set the dial to that

Your agitator pindle. has come loose From the spline. Try to lift up on the agitator. If it lifts off the spindle easily then it has worn out the spline. That is what connects the agitator to the s

My maytag home top loading washing machine over fills with water, ie. the switch to stop filling and start washing doesn't go off. I can drain it by setting it to spin.

top loading machines comes with a pressire switch to determine the water level.IT will fill with water till the switch is triggered to stop filling and continue with the next task of washing. there would be a rubber hose connected from the wash bucket to the pressure switch. Check for broken, leaking, bitten by rats hose or probably the switch it self is faulty, which is rather rare.
