    read your other L300 post
it is 13 year old PC, and trash
and will have not future ever.
I promise that, with CCFL zero future
and with custom RTC battery super hard to fix.
I can but why would I.

if you can answer simple questions
    truths can be attained.
    zero from you, crickets. why?
and leave B500 alone, ok, do not touch that.
you do not have bios admin Password set.
    ok. you do not,
you PC is overheating I bet (after new RTC installed still happens) old PCs like this will have 3 or more series problems, we all know that, it just like old cars and same reasons, (wear out)https://pcdied.com/overheated.html

a real PC LAP has this coin cell
    https://pcdied.com/BIOS/e6540/HTML/image...

yours is not like that nice PC
it has a soldered down cell.
and is custom cell ,not used on any other PC made, that level of custom.

    aka,Nimh battery, 3volts,
do not use lithium batteries common or it will explode.
    ebay.
    https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R4...

facts, in the manual and not.
    IN: must be charged 24hours.
IN: goes dead, in 3 months, parked on shelf in a closet (for example)
IN: explodes battery if wrong one used.
notIN: needs to be replace about 5 years old
the batteries are limited in life span
notin: we soldered it down to make it super hard to replace and more hard to reach then for fun no easy hatch access like dell has.
notin: we do not sell this battery now.
but ebay does. buy one and solder it down
or have any tech (real) that can.

the life span is 3 to 5 years

    per this wise folks.https://www.batteryuniverse.com/blog/tag...

    RIP OLD L300.
NEXT UP CCFL DEAD, AND HDD TOO.

THAT NIMH BATTERY HAS 2 CELLS INSIDE
    3VDC, AND IS 1.5 TIMEs 2,inside, see 2 bumps?
UNLIKE ALL OTHER pc WITH lithium 3v 1 cell coin cells, that are not rechargeable.
    that is clue 2.

the old A series Toshiba's are the same problem RTC BAT NimH long ago expired.
    other reading this.

    if jumpers are fun
    you have 4 choices.
    jumper before power on
    jumper after
release when before power off or after power off.
one of those will work for Admin PW reset.
    BIOS.
if you watched all video on topic (YT)
you see Toshiba did this in 2 or more ways.
    called TRICKY.
the factory manual not sold to us fools
    covers this.

w10 will not like those old chipsets. now
AMD ended support on those LONG AGO.
that is a fact seen at AMD.com
    so w7 it stays.
    and no updates ever. sure.
run Eset AV on it. to protect it and do not open email attachments or links
but first fix hardware known to be bad and sure is.

If it behaves abnormally in standard operation but works correctly in safe mode, it's not a BIOS problem. In safe mode, many features are intentionally disabled; the purpose is to keep a broken feature from interfering with troubleshooting or fixing the system.

Unless you must run a particular program that does not work with Windows 10 even in compatibility mode, I strongly recommend upgrading to Windows 10, keeping the computer physically disconnected from the Internet, or converting to a Linux operating system. Windows 7 no longer gets security updates from Microsoft, and is vulnerable to all sorts of malware. Your problem may be just that. You can try a malware removal program, if you can find one that works on Windows 7 and still gets updated on the latest definitions. That may fix the issue.

Sir i ampleased to see your answer but are you sure that it is not bios problem so that i do not reset my bios without any reason?

  • Larry Ng

    Farhan no PC told
the above post never tried loading w10 on 2007 or older PC, as that fails
we can not guess PCs here ever why can no you tell what you own what is at hand.

here is one laptop that overheats
    all do like this,
this is my wild guess a laptop. not told.
see that lint, it makes the fan totally USELESS AS DO VENTS BLOCKED with LINT.
    https://pcdied.com/overheated.html

DO NOT RESET YOUR BIOS. DO NOT.
WE LOOK FIRST THEN LEAP, OK, THAT IS HOW THIS WORKS.
BAD HARDWARE OR BAD SOFTWARE IS THE RULES.
    in that order.
    overheating tops the list.
then run full PC diagnostics next, no PC told.
is all data backed up? on this PC, ???
    not told. that.
if is backed up , I can run my Dell recovery steps in my Dell manual, at dell.com
see why telling what PC you own makes this 1000x more easy to help., why make this so hard. AGE matters, big time on MACHINES of all kinds ,heck even humans.

    post photo of your PC.
so we can end this silly game of me begging
    endlessly to all.

    PCs all overheat if filthy.
PCs mobile with that huge battery bad all shut down when bad or dead.(by DESIGN)
The huge battery bad overloads the AC power pack easy. the cure is obvious here.
PCs that are infected do what ever the malware wants.
and more, some things just fail when warm or hot and not JUST too hot, that is bad hardware.I have vast examples of this, 50+ years on the job. endless examples of failures.

on my Dell we run F12 Diagnostics.
no better PC made, even just that reasons
the ePSA DIAG is embedded, in firmware
and even runs with no HDD present.
    amazing facts on Dells products.
cheap PCs do not have this feature.
we as techs run our own tests, the hard way.
and you did not tell what PC you own.
    zero clues.

  • Paul Bade Mar 28, 2021

Larry Ng makes a good point. The CPU works harder in normal mode than in Safe Mode, so it gets warmer. If the cooling system is clogged with dust or lint, the motherboard is more likely to detect an overheat condition under the greater load. Thus, you will probably get a shutdown very quickly if you are playing a high-action video, rendering video or running a fluid-dynamics simulation.

The worst case I've heard of was of someone who put ran her laptop with it sitting on the bed. It set her blanket on fire because the blanket blocked the vents and kept the heat from getting out of the bottom of the laptop.

the PC has 2 problems for sure, gee it is super old 13 years old, relic Turion AMD
ever seen any laptop that old run right,
    (I could do it ,dig)
but has 2 problems, and not replacing the RTC first is a super huge show stopper.
run on AC power no big battery that old present ever. even out of the home that nasty old loves to catch fire big lithium.
and last windows VISTA is infected, as all are. this was a VISTA PC new so says the service manual.
even the mighty(not) service manual does not cover RTC replacement, at 5 years they fail.
failed in year 2013 I bet. and still bad now. 2021. wana bet? and is soldered down.hard.
this AMD CPU and SB700/RS780 chip sets only went to W7 support, not above says AMD.com
    hard nut problem#1:
Toshiba pretends the RTC really lasts forever.
well not by a country mile , ever. 5yrs par
    the only words are
RTC bad Checksum F1, CMOS error take the PC to a toshiba service center.
I can fix that but i refuse.
as it is one bad part of many,
4 bad parts I bet. RTC,huge bat,CCFL lamps and HDD.
1,2,3,4 and not cheap to fix.

It is a Yogo car called toshiba. runnnnnnnnnn

ever seen any laptop 13 years old not packed solid i lint, not me, and fully expected.
the owner I bet wants that magical , 1 click fix as most do here.
or that 1 jump fix. (youtube sucked him in)

in real shop , voltmeter in hand
charge that dead coin cell "in situ"
    per manual. NimH it is.
for 24 hours, then meter tips on battery soldered down legs, see not 3v but see way less, even 0volts dead. (for 8 years now)
it is bad see/ replace it.

first the hardware must be repaired 1st.
or no OS runs on bad hardware ever.
for sure HDD, and batteries bad. and is.

first, software to me is like changing baby diapers, often or even any hint of stink.,]
OS is fully expendable to me.
even run a VM. (for same reasons)diapers.

SOURCE: Acer Shutdown Problem

My first suggestion would be to Do a system restore to anytime before you instaled the adobe

go ahead and go to
Start > Control panel > Performance and Maintenance : on the upper left hand side you should see system restore. select a date before you installed adobe.

this should reverse your problem, if not let me know then we can try step 2

SOURCE: restart at shutdown

Hi,

This behavior may occur if Windows stops responding during a typical operation or during the shutdown process. By default, the computer is configured to automatically restart when Windows stops responding. To view this setting, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Start button, right-click My Computer, click Properties, click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
  2. Under System Failure, view the Automatically restart check box. If the Automatically restart check box is selected, Windows automatically restarts if the computer stops unexpectedly.
I can give you anotther solution too

Thanks

A steady or Amber(orange) blinking power button indicates a low voltage problem. This can be caused by a defective power supply or a defective motherboard. Just to make sure that nothing else is causing the problem, remove any PCI cards like modem, video card, sound card, etc... Remove the memory modules and disconnect cables to CD/DVD drives. Look at the USB ports to see if any are damaged.
