2 HOLD DOWN THE MODE KEY ON THE PAD OF THE UNIT AND PLUG THE UNIT
KEEP PRESSING UNTIL IT EMITS A BEEP SOUND APROX 3 SECONDS THE UNIT WILL START.
3 STOP THE UNITS OPERATION BY PRESING ON/OF
4 RESTART UNIT.

You have a bad power plug on the unit. The solder connection are loose. The one have is doing the same thing. The power plug pins have came lose and need to be resolder. Working on how to take the unit apart to solder the connection.
Did you try to plug a lamp into the same outlet as you have the A/C plugged into? It could be that you have no power at the outlet or the circuit breaker could be off or tripped. Something should run like the fan only position.
