After the rain yesterday my Openview decoder went off , and being elderly person I of course pressed all the wrong buttons and don't have open view can you help please , I don't even have a playlist

Pull the power lead from the wall socket. Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds. Plug back in. Power Reset. Or try the Factory Reset

Step 1: Do a factory reset by pressing 12345 on your remote control and press OK. Step 2: If you were using Explorer before Openview, you need to restore LNB settings... Go to menu on your remote > settings > installation > search channels.

Power cycle both units. Remove mains plug from both for 5 minutes and reconnect. Make sure the television is set the HDMI Source to the Decoder.

First try a power cycle. Remove the wall plug for 5 minutes. Press and hold the power button for 2 minutes. Let go and plug the decoder back in.

If that didn't make it work, it's time to test the power supply. Take out your multimeter and test the power plug end for voltage. It is likely to be 12 volts DC. Power adapters can be sourced inexpensively.

Or send it back and get a new one under warranty.

The power supply inside it has likely failed. Remove the mains plug for 5 minutes. Hold power button for one minute. Plug it back in. If that doesn't reset it, get the maker to replace it for a new one.

Sounds like your having issues with the decoder box.
Try checking all connections and re boot the decoder/router.

The decoder must be activated using the cellphone by entering *120*6843*1# and then follow the menu. If you receive any of these onscreen notifications you will need to reactivate your decoder: 1. Connect the cable from the dish to the LNB-IN port and switch the OVHD decoder ON. The decoder will pick up the OVHD signal automatically. The decoder must be activated using the cellphone by entering *120*6843*1# and then follow the menu.
