SOURCE: freezer door wont seal and stay closed

Your pushing air from the fridge part over to the freezer door when you clos it,the only thing i can suggest is make sure that the seal (which is magnetic) is clean and not falling apart, inspect it all around the door, and when closing the door i would close it gently.

Hope this helped.Let me know by rating me or

HI I JUST PURCHASED A 2ND HAND WESTINGHOUSE UPRIGHT FREEZER FJ383T. WAS RUNNING FINE WHEN I PICKED IT UP, GOT IT HOME AND TURNED IT ON THE NEXT DAY,AND THE ALARM LIGHT IS ON. ANY SUGGESTIONS. CHEERS

did you leave it to stand with no power on for an hour. ? check the door seals are clean and the door close properly. wipe them down on the magnetic seals around the doors. plugging in the unit before it settles can leave air in system from being moved around. this makes the system work harder and gets to hot. in the line.

I have a Samsung double door refrigerater with bottom freezer. The freezer has developed a problem. I noticed there is a frost build up. What might be the possible cause?

Most frostless freezer build up due to door no close completely closed, leak seal, leave it open too long.
-Try this:
-Remove all the inside stuffs then unplug or turn it off, open all door for 4-6 hours then clean and dry and plug back in
it will last for a while.

Good luck

The LG freezer door does not close fully on the right side but seals perfectly on the left side, ideas?

I would check and see if the drawer is just stuck, or has something in it, or just remove the drawer and see if it seals

I have a Siemens built-in Freezer F124DP31AU, the -18 alarm is always flashing and beeping. Also it never seem cold. brand new.

could be one of several reasons condenser could be full of dust, door not closing or sealing properly, hinges, thermostat, short of gas. you will require an engineer to take alook it will require the freezer to be pulled out if it isnt the the door

LG gn253sqa electro cool- temp. control lights in fridge keep flashing and fridge not cooling so good, help?

This has happened to me a couple of times. The problem is that when the fridge door is opened too may times the warm air of summer will block the cold outlets in the fridge with ice.The cold air comes direct from the freezer and the chamber connecting to the fridge clogs up with ice. What one has to do is completely empty the fridge and freezer, leave open both doors so the the ice build-up can melt. Then after about at least 4-5 hours (very important to stick by this time-frame as I tried a less time, but it did not work.),close both the freezer and fridge doors and switch it on.After about 1/2 hour replace your goods in the fridge. The down-side of this is that you will need the kindness of a neighbor or two to use their fridge to store your food whilst this fix is underway..

I am wanting to replace the freezer door seal on a upright fridge freezer model BJ 423TR*16

contact this company here http://www.allbrandonline.com/ you will be able to order your door seals from this company and they will mail them to you 1800-252-7500 is there number also remember after you install the seals to coat the seals with petroleum jelly or vaseline and leave the door of the freezer closed for at least 3 hours this causes the door seal to mold properly and keep the proper suction to make sure the door stays snug and grabs onto the frame if you have any questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to continue helping people in similar situations in the future on this site Thanks again Rick

What causes Ice to accumulate on the back wall of the freezer? We had not properly closed the door of the freezer before leaving for an extended time. Now we are having problems.

if you have the freezer in the garage. it hot out there and the warm air will condense ,when u open it all the time. or the seal is not sealing right when its closed.

sounds like the return air duct is completely blocked with ice
shut unit off for a couple of hours leave a blow dryer blowing hot in the freezer with the doors open
