Reduction or loss of suction power could be caused by several things, including a blockage in the water channel, the water channel hose, recovery hose (located behind the recovery water tank), deteriorating rubber seals, dirty/clogged filter, dirty louver cover (exhaust for the vacuum above the tank).

Hi, how do I check my hoover floormate deluxe spinscrub's filter and motor?

Hi Mike! To check the filter on the Floormate deluxe, remove the dirty water tank and pull up on tank lid to separate from the base. Check foam filter for debris, if filter has debris, rinse it with water. To prevent internal damage make sure you are using only the Hoover Floormate detergent. If the machine is still noisy and smells bad we recommend taking it in to a Hoover authorized service center. Follow the link to find the nearest service center to you. Hope this helps! Hoover Floormate--Does not pick up water.

First make sure that you are getting suction from the bottom of he machine. Most of the time the squeegee is worn out which does not allow it to pick up the water like it use to. Turn over the machine and inspect the squeegee. If it looks worn or bent then it may be time to replace it. You may also consider replacing the filter. These are the two most common parts that wear out.

Floormate will not **** dirty water.

Check the hose coming out of the floor assembly. It tends to split, keeping it from picking up the water

Hoover FloorMate won't pick water up

Check for the filter in place and it also requires a filter lid for proper suction or it will not work

Does not pick up water

I have had my Hoover Floormate for years. It has always worked great but the last few times I used it the amount of water left is tremendous and the container for dirty water was not full at all. I looked at it and the hose going up from the bottom thru the handle is broken how do I fix this.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Hoover Floormate H3000 Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum. You can down load the owner manual from the Hoover website www.hoover.com . It looks like the one of the holding or recovery tanks my not be in place, leaking, cracked or damaged, or the clear tube is leaking and needs replacing. I looked 2 the owner’s manual and it does not show the clear tube but the vacuum does come apart and just back track the clear tube and mark the screws when you disassemble the unit. Other wise , please call the factory or a local Hoover warranty station in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Hoover floormate plus model #H3010

It seems to be a common problem with this series of floormate... some home quickfixes (a hassle, i kno) but put downward pressure while using the solution.... Check your warranty that came with it, and how long you purchased the floormate... Alot of vaccuums come with 30-90 warranties, I'd recommend having it checked out. That, or if u bought it recent enough, take it back... like i said, these models are unfortunately known to have this problem... Some people have ones that operate normally, but alot do not. >.<
