Usually answered in minutes!
is this a computer posted to computers help?
it is not.
so this your first time using this timer?
or used it for years and was ok until today?
it has batteries are they fresh?
used in what country
the timer is !"spec"
"AC Line Synchronous or DC Quartz Time Base "
so change to AC sync, if in USA.
ours is averaged, the AC line over long time periods, others countries NOT.
you told gain, but did not state how much.
10seconds a day 10minutes per day.
all non internet or radio 10mhz devices
gain or lose time, all do. lacking the nuclear sync, (2 ways)
same for GPS, same way.
Simplex clocks systems
we had many long ago. 1990 to 2010
and we upgraded ours to use www sync
by adding that hardware box to it.
we also had the options of internet sync.
long ago wwv USA radio station upgrade to 10x more power. (and wwvh Hawaii)
and the time sync from WWW 10mhz radio , now worked in all conditions night ,day or horrible weather. 10KILO WATTS POWER.
the internet way works good too if never goes down that is, and can. (no country told or state in usa, or islands, etc. Guam? )
their web site , ask them for time sync upgrades , we ran WWV with zero problems for over a decade)
https://simplex-fire.com/en/us/Pages/Pro...
owned now by Johnson controls.
this timer is long in tooth, I found no manual.
the manual will tell you how to switch from
crystal time base timer to 60HZ AC line syc.
for better you need
to buy. (upgrades)
wwv 10mhz, sync receiver, or web sync box options. for sure.
was the expert then now , just drip under pressure,
we had 100 wired clocks, and I invented a fix for those when lost time. on all. and not equal. (and for daylight savings time horrors)
good luck that is my experience,.
I have clock on my kitchen wall
running for 10 years, zero loss.
it is wwv time sync, nuclear time .
so can yours if need that kind of accuracy.
lost the manual try here
https://mb.nawcc.org/threads/manuals-for...
PDF.
one site poster said the company almost made 100 years old. but was shy of that.
RIP.
used for school bells K to 12.lots
or for clocks or both.
for decades even in 1940s.(older models)
if in USA turn on 60hz time sync.
per the manual
then the time will not vary on a weekly bases.
power plants in USA vary 60hz to do just that. on average it does not vary.
first get time correct, say using cell phone time. as master.
then turn on 60hz sync
now it keeps time using only AC line sync.
the secret is , must be correct time to start.
all clocks on earth not time sync'd to
USA atomic clocks, gain or lose time.
for sure cheap and old crystal based only.
all like that drift fast, say second per day.
example:
your PC is sync'd the same why like this.
called now NTP , mine is set to this.
time.nist.gov (NBS/NIST,national time standards)
I can also time sync via wwv radio links.
time to leave 1990 tech and move up or upgrade the 6100.
your posted to HIS, computer makers of heat sinks for CPU and GPU chips !
there is no CLOCK (real) forum pages here.
closest match is home appliances
https://www.fixya.com/troubleshoot/brows...
here.
no school appliances yet.
