Question about Stoves Kitchen Ranges

I have a stoves newholme gl716 stove,the oven and grill are not working the ignition keeps clicking but neither will ignite.

take a look at the igniter located in the center of two burners. clean the gap with a stiff brush between the eletrode and the upper plate. the distance is preset at the factory. you may have enough buildup to close the gap enough to trigger the igniter.

Boy, I had a Thermador that used to drive me bats.
The best solution was to clean around the ignitor pin and make sure the orifices closest to the ignitor are not blocked... It made a big difference.
I used a small fine metal bristle brush.. did the trick.

SOURCE: igniter keeps clicking, intermittent

There should be a little switch that slips over the stem of each burner control. Very common.

How do I turn my oven on? I have never had a gas stove, but I cant get the stove to start except if I turn right to grill in other words I can get it to ignite for 180 degrees etc only grill

normal operation is to push the oven knob in and turn
pushing in sets the igniter off and turning opens the gas flow to ignite
always light an oven with the oven door open
stop s an explosion if there is a problem
down load an operators manual bu going google and typing in --- user manual for ( make and model ) gas stove --- find a pdf version and download it

How to turn oven on on a Kelvinator Cookarama Oven (Older model)?

You need to hold /push the oven control knob in quite firmly while you press the igniter. When it lights up keep holding for about ten seconds then gently release it.

Oven and broiler won't come on

It's most likely the igniters in the oven. They cost about 40$ apiece and our oven has two. They are fairly easy to replace.

1) Turn off the electricity to the stove, either with a switch or your circuit breaker.
2) Remove grills, side support grills and oven base. They all just slide out.
3) Remove door to avoid breaking it. It slides off.
4) Remove old igniters, they are attached with two screws. Remove 2 wires from plugs. It might be necessary to lower the front base panel to get to the plugs - the panel is attached by two screws on the side of the panel.
5) Install new igniters, put the door and grills on and you're good to go.

The first time, it might take an hour to get used to your stove, but its really about 15 minutes of work.

Oven ignition

probably a bad thermostat in the oven it will keep the igniter from working on new stoves and keep the fule relay from opperating on older ones

Stoves Richmond 100cm Gas Range top oven/grill ignition keeps clicking when oven is used. My Stoves gas range top oven ignition keeps clicking almost non-stop after temp is reached. The top oven ignition keeps clicking. It stops after the initial ignition but then starts again a few minutes later presumably when the temp is reached and doesn't stop until oven is turned off unless I turn the knob to the next level then the same thing happens after a few minutes.An engineer came and looked at it and said it was a bit of metal on the ignitor which he brushed off. He tested it with the oven door open and of course, the clicking stopped. Could it be a thermostat or the thermo-coupler? Anything else? It is driving me mad!
