Michael korsmk2433 minutes hands are not moving while seconds hand are working if I change with new battery it works properly for few minutes than again it is struck

Try setting the crown to position 2 - i.e. the position normally used to adjust the date. Then use the top and bottom stopwatch buttons to adjust the minute hand and 1/10th hand respectively.

SOURCE: Tag Timer Resets to Wrong Time

Unscrew the crown and press the lower button, this should advance the minute counting hand one press ata time. Pull ot the crown a further stop to advance the seconds hand and again to advance the tenths counter.

SOURCE: the second hand stop moving but the watch is still

The hands of an analog watch are often only press-fitted on the shafts (hour and minutes are tubular, seconds solid shaft) and the second hand has probably only slipped so it is no longer being driven. I suspect a watch-maker could reattach it for a small charge.

You should change the battery, it is the cheapest thing to try. The batteries can be very old before they are installed and could have been in the watch a long time before you got it.

Can't be much help on this one, but if the watch is malfunctioning after you took it for a battery change, then why not take it back and demand that they put it right?

Mk 5473 watch is loosing time

Okay, so I'd the watch dial says automatic or manual wind you should be able to wind the watch to get it to start working. If the second hand is sweeping buy the minute and hour or just minute hand does not go around properly there are different issues. One. It could be the pinion that is loose, (major repair) two, the watch needs an overhaul meaning cleaned and re oiled(less likely). If only minute hand is giving trouble, its loose(the 2nd hand) or the pinion is loose.

Yes it is not a battery problem , you say the second hand remains static therefore I presume the other hand is moving ? if this is the case it might be because the second hand is not attached to the shaft properly although you say you can set the time and it will work for a short period and then fail it still might be the case which is a fairly simple job , hopefully it is not in the watch mechanism that causes it to not work .

your watch has two batteries inside, the small battery is the one that had to be replaced. it is under the big battery, the small battery makes the minute and hour hand move while the big battery makes the seconds flashing. i hope that i had been helped you.

The scond hand on my tag formula 1 has stopped and wont resest,but the watch still works with the time. What could the likely problem be? Could it be the battery? or could it need servicing?

Sean, This watch has a disposable movement(guts). That means the battery is the only part that can be replaced. The thing is glued together instead of screwed. Take it to a watchmaker that can get the replacement movement from Tag as the ordinary movements out there are different from the genuine Tag movements. Date wheels specifically are different. Anyway, a professional watchmaker, not a jeweler or store clerk please, will be able to tell you if that is the correct course of events to take. Probably looking at 200 to 250 Michael, Watchmaker to the Stars!

Brand New Watch second hand won't move. won't keep time.

The watch has a problem in the timing module and the second hand won't move (a cog wheel issue) this is clearly a manufacture defect that can not be remedied and should be returned since it is under warranty.

The second hand on my chronograph will not index properly when reset

Try this or some variation as it worked with my new Wenger Chronograph.
Pull the crown out to the first position (for changing the date) and press the top button - one of the hands - either the big second hand, the little minute hand, or the little tenth of seconds hand - should move one notch. Keep pressing until it reaches the desired position. Now press the bottom button, same process. Pull the crown all the way out and press the top button, same process. Then if that still hasn't solved it, crown all the way out and press the bottom button. Each position should correspond to a hand, and each press should move it one notch. When settled, push the crown all the way in and operate it normally.
Be careful not to press buttons when changing the date or time, and don't bang or shake the watch too hard while using the chrono. Also, don't play with the buttons or press them one after the other too quickly.

Greetings! I have a Casio PAG240, and I use the 24-hour time format. When in this mode, the watch used to display the “initial zero” at the beginning of times from 0000-0900. For example, 8:30 am was displayed as “0830” on the watch, with a zero in front of the 8. In other words, FOUR digits were always displayed, no matter what time it was. But now, even though the watch IS in 24-hour time format, the early morning hours do NOT display this “initial zero”. Note that all times between 1000-2359 are properly displayed with all four digits. Is there a way to get my zero back? I miss it!
