wow like the first photo posted here in

months, (by volume rare) way to go Audience.
    That is one sick Lappy.
i this a 2008 PC? GPU solderball ddeathh PCs.

does it do that in BIOS screens.
NO PC told ,no OS told I can only ASSS-U-ME
    that screen is the OS?
test 1, run the PC with no huge battery first. just on AC power pack alone.
    fails still
unplug PC for 1hour , no huge battery connected no AC pack
put back only the power pack AC
then power on and hammer the secret BIOS key on this secret PC and see if BIOS screens are Ok? if fails here too
we then try using the secret PCs External video port to a test monitor or TV.
VGA,HDMI,DVI,DP are the 4 classes of external display ports used in last 20 years.
all not known due to NO PC told
if HDMI port connect it to a TV.
if not get monitor that matches said port or and adapter and test the PC using an external
    monitor (or TV + HDMI)

NO PO told of 100,000 models
we can NOT guess PCs, ever.
    hp,dell,acer,asus,lenovo, and more. lots more
and many have model stated on bottom of PC
or in battery well of battery simply drops out. or in BIOS screen #1

THE GPU is not happy or the LCD is bad.
testing proves this, but no PC told making exact answers impossible. (risking wild guessing by most)

    tech answer
power bus in PC overloaded, a pure power cause.
the GPU is sick ,bad or driver dead wrong.
GPU fails in BIOS tool, that is bad GPU.
but can be bad LCD. for sure Laptop dropped or hit. by anything.
the only easy proof is :
1: remove huge battery . run AC only.
2: connect PC to TV or monitor if works that way LCD is bad. (most times)

3: if only fails in windows, the drivers are wrong. for windows, or not the right ones matching say w10, get them from your unstated OEM PC maker, just them.

one other problem is bad service
seen PC with loose LCD cables inside ,due to bad service done, and not put back as they found them secure, now are falling half off the connectors deep inside.
why not just get the PC serviced like 99% do?
many of these PCs have 35 screws to even get at the parts that fail inside or even inspect it. NOT mine it is a DELL.

In order to test and see if the issue is coming from malfunctioning wires lower and raise your laptops computer screen repeatedly to check and see if the flickering is related to movements then. Either it is a loose or a damaged screen cable or an inverter or the back light are all the possible culprits behind your particular laptop screen flickering woes.It could be the screen is starting to go bad and needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: i have a fujitsu siemens laptop and the screen

The first thing you need to do is check the screen connection to the motherboard.
Without knowing the model of the laptop I can’t really advise you on how to do this, however it’s normally under the power on button strip.
If the connector is tight and in place it will most likely be the screen inverter which is under the fascia of the screen.
Whiteout knowing the model it’s difficult to offer advice.

My Hp pavillion dv4 notebook pc's screen is flickering quite badly. It happens every few seconds and everything seems to jump up and down once and go back to normal. Tapping or hitting screen or any part...

Flickering is a back light issue, jumping around would be caused by the screens reaction to a bad inverter and so would the backlight as well. So flickering backlight and jumping would be a inverter issue causing both problems so I would replace them both.
