How can I reset picture to default setting on my dynex tv if the screen don't light up

Try are Factory Reset to set the picture settings to default. If that doesn't fix it, you will need a repairer or a new one. They are a 'cheap' brand.

You can reset the unit by unplugging, wait 30seconds to 1 minute.then try again.

If still doesn't come on, the lightning may have done some internal damage, such as to the power supply or Main PCB.

It sounds like the color settings are out of whack, try going to the tv settings and reset them back to default. Then try changing the Red green blue values (RGB) in the color settings, simply lowering the red value might do the trick

Refer its user manual to know, how the set can be resetted to its factory defaults. Do this first. If this do not help you, the main system memory IC should be replaced.

When the picture goes out, try to open and access the TVs menu using the Dynex remote. if the menu fails to open up you can bet there is a problem with the backlight on the TV. Letting the TV rest and then it working again indicates heat as the source of the problem. Check to see if your still in your 1yr warranty or if you have a protection plan at best buy, the TV needs help.

If the Menu were to still open, you can blame your cable/satellite set top box.

Need the model number to look up the parental control steps. you will need to access the control settings in the Menu, the channels option. the TV will prompt you for a password, if you don't know it, there is always a default you can use listed in the manual. You can turn off Parental controls in here.

You can try performing a factory reset of the TV. Go into the service menu (Press, then release the INPUT button on the remote, then key in 2580). Scroll down to "Other Settings", then go to "EEPROM Init", then press enter, select YES and press enter. This will reset the TV to the factory defaults. Good luck!

I have a DX LVD33 power light is red and no picture or sound screen is black. Please advise.

Plug a Cat 5e cable from your computer into the dynex router.
Go to "Run" in the start menu and type "cmd".
On the black screen type "ipconfig"
The default gateway is your Dynex router.
Open internet explorer and type "http://192.168.0.1" or whatever your configuration was.
Log into router
Default username is: admin
Default password is: (blank)

Now reset your wireless configurations.
