Automotive fuses really are a category of fuses utilized to protect the wiring and electrical equipment for vehicles. They are usually rated for circuits no greater than 32 vlts direct present , but a few kinds are ranked for 42-volt electric systems. They are sometimes utilized in non-automotive electric products.

SOURCE: Problems with Pride Celebrity X 4-Wheel Electric

It is often a damaged accelerator (Potentiometer). Sometimes the shaft on the wigwag breaks the contacts in the accelerator from being moved too vigorously when going over a bump too fast. A technician would need to repair this for you. Happy scooting. Regards Chris… [email protected]

SOURCE: THE SCOOTER MAKES A HIGH PITCH NOISE WHEN THE KEY IS TURNED ON

The buzzer is a piezo-electric device that is the "horn" for the scooter. It also will alert when the scooter is in reverse, if this option is programmed into the scooter. It receives its power from the PC board or console board which is located inside the top of the shroud at the tiller, where the thumb paddles that direct the scooter are located. If liquids have reached the board, or if condensation has affected the board, the circuit that controls the buzzer may have shorted causing it to come on constantly.

Opening the top of the shroud is fairly simple. Remove about 6 screws holding the clamshell cover together, remove the speed adjust knob, and it should come apart. Inside you'll see a PC (printed circuit) board, green in color with lots of small electronic parts embedded on it. The buzzer is also inside, usually about the size of a marshmallow and black in color with tiny holes to let the noise escape. There will be two wires leading from the buzzer to the plug-in at the PC board. Unplug the buzzer and the noise will stop, but you won't have use of the "horn" at all. Replacing the PC board can be done by a certified Pride tech, but it will probably cost you about $150.00 for parts and labor.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: where and how do I replace my battery for my pride

Do not use batteries with different amp-hour (Ah) capacities. Do not mix old and new batteries. Always replace both batteries at the same time.

MANDATORY!
Battery posts, terminals, and related accessories contain lead and lead compounds. Wear goggles and gloves when handling batteries and wash hands after handling.

WARNING! Always use two batteries of the exact same type, chemistry, and amp-hour (Ah) capacity. Use 12 Volt deep cycle batteries.

1.Remove the battery pack from the Travel Scooter.

2.Carefully turn the pack upside down.
3.Remove the eight (8) screws from the perimeter of the battery pack.
4.Carefully turn the pack right side up and remove the lid.

d02a364.jpg

5.Disconnect the black (-) and red (+) battery cables from the battery terminals.
6.Remove the old battery.
7.Place a new battery in the battery pack.
8.Connect the red battery cable to the positive (+) battery terminal.
9.Connect the black battery cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
10.Position the lid back onto the battery pack ensuring all wires are inside the pack so they don’t become pinched.
11.Carefully turn the pack upside down.
12.Reinstall all screws and tighten.
13.Charge the new batteries for 8-14 hrs before the first use.
I hope this helps and good luck!

SOURCE: Pride Celebrity Deluxe Mobility Scooter - Serial Number

Hi. The serial number will be on a sticker on the upright support that holds up the seat. You will have to lift of the seat, and take the cover off the batteries to see it. It should be on the front of the deat support. Neil.

Why does my 2016 Honda Civic EXT Beep about eight times when I get out and shut the door?

Similar to Taylor's advice above. Accidents are ******* tires & trim seal especially if you swerve and slam brakes on hard with them turned as rim wants to stop tire wants to roll against pavement. Pretty much any vehicle repair can pop tires off reseal. (If you have ever watched a tire put on rim at tire station they have a BIG wet cloth or cotton ball on end of stick they make a quick wipe of goo around edge of tire flip it over on opposite side and do same then refill with air. That is quick way to stop having to put air in tires which is a pain in the back & knees. Constant Low tire pressure can affect fuel consumption significantly also recommended is not using Ethanol but regular unleaded. Possibly your sensors we damaged. Though if computer checked and no errors may just be always running on low tires. Also have tire valve stems checked for replacement which is quick as well. I would never personally recommend over filling your tire pressure like Taylor suggested as if you have damage on tire last thing you want is to over inflate it with you down next to it and chance a catastrophic failure and injury to yourself. Your wiring is something shop that repaired it should have fixed if they did the body work and you have broken wire. You can check it manually but taking to dealer who will make sure horn was not damaged or that wire is connected as it sits right in front under hood and with alligator clip & probe can test it straight from battery to see if horn physically works then find broken connection or could be simple as a blown fuse which often happens in accidents. One of most exasperating things in accident is horn stuck on blaring and police or tow truck immediately pull wire off or sometimes simply snip or cut the wire right at the horn so it can be spotted and easily repaired with new clip on connector .You can look and change a fuse as horn has it's own. Hope that helps. Be safe out there. Best wishes.

Put new gas and new oil in and tried to start. Would stall in few seconds when could start. There is fluid dripping from the filter area

Hi Anonymouse:
I'd be checking to make sure that the correct fluid in the correct amount was added to the correct place.
Start with the oil. Check the dipstick or indicator level. Too much oil will stop the engine. Sometimes gas get accidently put in the oil filler if an inexperienced person is helping with the maintenance.
Gas.......... Make sure that oil was not accidently added to the gas tank. Drain the carb and put fresh gas in the gas tank.
Spark plug.;.... pull and check for fouling. Replace if not really clean. Check for hot blue spark before re-installing.
This should get you back digging up the garden very soon.

Had a slight accident and now the front tires lose tread really quickly and it veers to the right.

Hello crispycristy: My name is Roger and I will help you. The reason the tire wear is extreme is due a an alignment problem. Some thing was bent or moved in the accident. This could have been subtle or ever so slightly. You may or may not be able to see with your eyes. You need to have the alignment reset. How ever front end parts are expensive and can be expensive to replace. It does not take much to bend a strut or damage a wheel bearing. Have your mechanic check it for the damage that was done as soon as possiable as it can cause a accident.
Should you need further help please just ask. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

If you lent your tiller to your "know it all"

While having your brother buy you a new tiller sounds good, it just might not be practical or posible. So drain the fuel from the tank, fuel lines and the carb., clean the spark plug and replace fuel filter if installed. Put the proper gas in and start it, should be good or clear up pretty quick. Hopefully it did not run with the wrong fuel for too long where the spark arrestor in the muffler would get clogged up.

Good luck.

If really helpful, please rate.

I used my mantis electric tiller for the first time today and more times than I can count, it didn't grab into the earth and came racing back on me very quickly-the earth was pretty hard but I was...

a mantis tiller is low end. It does not have the weight to do any real tilling. Granted they are all gonna be hard to control, but unless you have, a bed that is soft soil , it will not work.

2004 Nissan Maxima ABS light stays on, what do I replace?

you need to run a scan to see what is wrong. it could be a wheel sensor or the abs pump. This is a realatively new vehicle and i would think something is blocking a wheel sensor from reporting info to the computer. some times things build up around the sensor and block it. or if there has been a recent accident one could be damaged and the shop didn't catch it. these parts really dont fail this quick look for something else. remove the wheels and look for a ring with a lot of teeth on the back side of the assembly. follow an electrical wire it will take you to the sensor which will be next to a ring with many teeth. The sensor recognizes the teeth moving and reports to the computer when they stop moving and that is when the abs starts pulsing the brakes for that wheel. if something gets in the way the sensor sees nothing and the light comes on. if this helps please reply cause that helps me keep answering here and good luck

Engine running well but on full throttle tines turn really slow 60 rpm

If they used to turn faster you may have to take the tynes off and lube them . Not an easy or quick job. Also, the belt may be worn to the point it will slip. Check those things. Good luck...Lee

Vertical white striped screen

If a lot of pressure is added to the screen this can cause it to fracture internally. Sounds to me like you need a trip to an Apple repair center if you've already tried rebooting it.

Missing harness

For the first one you can go to this link http://www.coscojuvenile.com/instructions/ and download the instructions, which at the end will have a parts order list, from which you can order the latch parts and the harness for the second one from there as well. you will need the model number and manufacture date on both to obtain this info and those numbers should be on the back of the seats it appears that all three are cosco car seats and you can obtain the needed parts and manuals needed.

although i will add this disclaimer, i would never never trust a car seat from a rummage sale, because you can not trust the person selling to be honest with you as to whether it was in an accident or not, if it was it may look fine, but it could have small stress fractures invisible to the human eye that could make it fail in an accident, killing or severely injuring your grandchild

also if the child is 5yrs old my better question for you would be is he over 38" tall and over 40lbs??? If so he really is to big for these car seats, you can get a booster seat for him, which would run you from 10 - 50 dollars depending on model, all of which are very safe just make sure if you do not have a head rest in the car where you will be using it, as most cars to not have these in the back seat that you get a high back booster seat (i know the first of the three list in your query works as one of these with out the harness the shoulder strap merely gets fed through the slots on the side of the seat above the child's shoulder to ensure proper alignment
if you do have the head rest you can get by with a backless one as the head rest will provide the necessary head and neck support in an accident.

with all said IF YOU DO NOT KNOW AND TRUST THE PEOPLE WHO YOU OBTAINED THESE SEATS FROM YOU CAN NOT KNOW THEY ARE REALLY SAFE AND ACCIDENT FREE
I would not stake any child's life on a used seat unless from a very very trusted source
