Service manual is online. Look for Panasonic NV370
Belt kits are available on the famous site fleabay. They won't be genuine but they might work.

Vcr national Panasonic NV-G10EM, head rotates, play and other control buttons are dead

I would monitor IC6001 for reel and tape in sensor signals.
No tape in sensor signal and it won't play etc as it won't know there is a tape in it.

Why does my Panasonic NV-SD200A play for 4 seconds then stops and has no kind of output?

General when the electronics detect a fault all functions will stop to prevent damage. Check inside look for broken plastic parts in the mechanism.

Vhs tape gets chewed

Dear William,
the rubber belts and rubber capstan need cleaning/conditioning. you can attempt this with alcohol swabs and if you find rubber conditioner (in the past was easy to find in audio supply stores) apply some of this also. if this treatment does not solve, then may need new rubber belt kit. good luck.

Panasonic NV DS28

It is more than likely a belt. Probably a square type belt. They typically have a life span of a decade or so but when they start to go they go quick. Letting them sit around unused for periods will actually make them more prone to die. A service manual is a best bet - try google searching or eBay - but you can track down the parts via Sears Parts direct. There are several parts sourced on line but I have great luck with Sears. Enter the make and model and see what it lists. Common things like belts for vcr, cassette decks, vid cameras, were used in many different things over time so they actually have stuff in stock still. Also check YouTube for how-to videos, as most of these repairs are common and similar process for different machines.

NATIONAL NV-370

Yes, the NV 370 was among the most produced and popular VCR machines by Panasonic. Ifthere is no color, only 2 reasons i can think of - 1. Check the Colour / B&W switch at t5he rear of the machine. It might accidently be on 'B&W' mode. 2. Clean the video Heads. Dirty Heads also show as B&W picture on this machine. 3. There is a internal circuitry fault (tho' very rare in this machine. If it is a circuit fault, then there is nothing you can do, unless you know Solid state Electronics servicing. And even after that, it may become difficult to service, as spares may not be available. Machine is a 20 year old model.
