Question about Intex Pool & Spa

I have intex pure spa that has (air) leak on outer side. What meterial is this made of (to get proper glue to repair)? PVC, vinyl,..? Thanks!

It is made of layered vinyl pvc, which according to the local pool co. You would patch it as pvc.

There are some specialist glues available for this. You will need a good quality flexible adhesive. The spa sides will stretch when inflated so you may need to put on an oversized patch.
Note that some plastic Spas might not be repairable depending on how bad the leak is.

Yes you can use regular pvc glue. You should use pvc primer before you glue it.

you must clean the area really well before the glue will stick. first, soap and water the area, then rinse. then, alcohol to wipe clean and dry the water from the area.
then, use cpvc pipe primer (used by plumbers) to clean the area and the inside of the patch.
then, vinyl cement (comes with intex boats) or "seal all" (bought at home depot). apply liberally on both surfaces and hold firmly into place. put a weight ontop if you can to hold the patch. let dry for a few hours. should be good to go.
i've patched my intex mariner about 8 times. patches all hold well.

If that unit is fiberglass, go to an autoparts store and get fiberglass repair kits. Be mindful of the solvent being very powerful and extremely flammable.

Intex pure spa- intex inlet oulet o- ring is out of stock till who knows. Can you use another type. Photo shows end of pipe 1.25".the o ring sits at end of pipe.

Did u modify ur inlet/outlet hose? Wat did u use? Mine broke and I can't find one to order.

I have an Intex Pure Bubble Intex Pure Bubble Spa. The filters do not have any suction. Are they supposed to? If so how much? I do not feel anything.

For a test only, remove filters and see if you feel anything against the fitting?
If nothing either 'Air Lock', keeping it from priming the pump.
Or, bad pump!
Secondly, are you still dealing with a problem?

We have a leak where the rope goes into and we don't know how to fix it please help.

the repair kit for this is a seasonal item at walmart..you will need the vinyl repair kit like for air mattresses found in the sporting goods/camping area..you need to put the glue on dry and then cut the vinyl patch to fit..

Head over to a sporting goods store and see if they may have a replacement air valve that you can glue onto the vinyl.
it will be very similar to the ones found in blow-up sleeping bag cushions

Repair deflated to prevent air bubbles and it will leak... I've used 3M adhesive remover.. Comes in small 6 oz can.. Home Depot. and when repairing, use a clamp similar to this style in the picture I attached.. Let dry for several hrs... Hope this works for you!! If it helps please rate!!!

You don't have much choice in the matter. Either find and repair the leaks using a proper vinyl patch kit with underwater glue ( you can get this at your pool shop) or buy and install a new liner.

Air ring leaking on 18 foot pool....cant find leak...if it is the seam how do i fix it???

To be honest, ive seen 20-30 customers come to my company looking to fix this same problem. Weve tried vinyl patch after vinyl patch, and several different cement fixes. Nothing works.
The best results ive had are with a simple vinyl liner repair kit.
The most important thing is to let it sit for 48 hours before reinflating, but even this fix was only temporary.

Long story short, you get what you pay for, and intex is the cheapest pool systems on the market for a reason. The air ring always starts to leak right after the warranties are up, and the Intex company just plain out doesnt care.

Wish I had better news.
