Can you help me with getting firmware update for my old westinghouse vr-4085df?

Hello Nlunde, in order to get the code you will need to update your FW to make the IR sensor accept most universal remote codes (including cable and satellite remotes). In order to get the firmware please send me an email to [email protected], please make sure to include the model #, serial #, and TW # all located on the back of the TV as well as a contact # so I can give you a call if we need any further information. Once the firmware is updated you will be able to program your remote with no problem.

Hello Rickd971, there is a FW update that will allow you to program your remote to the TV. Please send me a quick email to [email protected] with the serial # TW# and a contact # in the event I need any other information and I will forward you the FW along with installation instructions.

Need the firmware update and the codes still do not work... About ~ 40 scans in and my vr-4085 worked. Tried all codes prior. No luck.

There is no other setup code indicated for your product
that links to the model number you entered.

You may still find a setup code that works for your device by stepping through the library codes in your remote. The following instructions will help you do this.

StepNSet

• Set the "Mode Switch" to the desired mode such as TV for a Television.
• Press and hold the "Mute" button and the "Select" button until the visible LED blinks twice.
• Enter the code "991" followed by the "device number"
  • 1 for Televisions
  • 2 for "AUX 1" devices - VCRs or DVDs
  • 3 for "AUX 2" devices - Audio
• You can step through the setup codes for this mode by pressing the "Channel Up" key to go forward through the codes or pressing the "Channel Down" key to go back to the previous codes.
• You can try out each code by pressing one or more function keys such as power, volume or digit keys.
• When you've found the setup code that works for your device, press the "Select" key.

10885...10889....10890...11282...11577....they work however with my tv only changes the channel when i turn it off...comcast said to go get new remote.
