Question about Pool & Spa

I have a king pellet stove KP130 it will feed pellets and light and will burn for like 30 minutes, but then it stops feeding pellets and goes out eventually. What is going on? Please help me.

if u can get at it you can clean it, if you get at a little of it you may be able to hit it with a small brush or paper clip or finish nail or whatever while it is revolving. I spraye my old stoves auger with PB blaster then cleaned it and of course let it air out for 2 days as that is flamable. The cause is probably inferior non-hardwood pellets. Been there....and doing that .. good luck

I'm having the same issue with my Enviro Windsor pellet stove. I called a technician and he says that the igniter likely needs replacing - still waiting to see how much that will cost!

Just bought a house with a Gibraltar SCR stove in it. I want to use this thing, but have never owned a stove and don't know how. What fuel? How to set the fuel in the stove, etc. Can you help?

Gibraltar makes coal, pellet and wood stoves. Stoves that burn wood pellets have a hopper and feeder auger that feeds pellets into the burning chamber. They also require electricity to work. From what I read online you should be able to burn wood in the stove but I believe the coal stoves have a smaller burning chamber.

Have a king 8500 pellet stove and feeding slow and won't stay burning. installed a new motor but now don't think that was the problem. they said to go manual function.

sounds more like a vent problem check and clean burn box and vents

No flame. The auger works fine and the pellets are feeding in. There is no fire to burn them.

Do you have a user's manual? Most pellet stoves need to be lit before starting the auger to sustain the fire.

We have a heilsa pellet stove model#QCPS-28000 ,its dropping pellets to fast ,how do I adjust the feed.

SET THE AIR INLET DAMPERS

It is not possible for the manufacture to factory set your stove to work properly without some adjustments. The dampers help control the amount of airflow supplied for combustion.
A damper PUSHED IN all the way, maximizes concentrated air flow to the burn pot. This will maintain a robust fire.
The Auger timing is designed to be run, in most conditions, with the dampers closed.
In some areas/conditions, it mybe necessary to adjust the damper open slighty in order to slow down the flame and allow the pellets to keep pace with the rate of burn. This should be monitored closely to ensure you have the propoer feed rate established. If dampers are opened too much, the rate of burn will be very slow and the pellets will build up.
This setting needs to be fine tuned to according to your location and elevation. It is recommended that you start with the dampers pushed in to start.

I have a King Pellet Stove 5510, I think the ignitor is out. It's going to be cold tonight and until I can get a new ignitor, can I start the pellets with something else.

If you have a hand held bottled type, propane torch, you could carefully try that. However, never ever use any type of liquid starter, like charcoal lighter fluid, kerosene, etc. All you want to do, is get a cup or so of pellets started burning hotly and let the auger take over feeding the fire from there.

Be extremely careful doing this.

Pellets keep feeding. cant control temp.

Are you trying to grill or smoke? In ether case, once the pellets ignite and the temperature you want has been reached, the switch should be turned to off. That should stop the auger pellet feed.

Also, are you using Traeger Pellets. They are the only one designed for this grill/smoker. If you're using heating pellets for a pellet stove, that also would cause that problem

I clean the stove as discribed in the tape i got w/ the unit. But, in about 8hrs. burn time , fire box is over full and feed tube is backed up. I have air wide open and lowest feed setting. Any ideas . If...

That is an old pellet stove. One problem may be that you have recently switched the type (Manufacturer) of pellets. Not all manufacturers make the pellets the same way. So you would have to re-tweek the auger feed an the air intake to the stove. If you no longer have your Owners Manual try searching Google for the Manufacturer and contact them for advice. But, I suspect that the model you have is no longer manufactured, as it does not meet the current EPA standards for emissions.

Our napoleon stove barely heats the room it is in and it is new first year used,,

Try this....before starting the stove, place a handful of pellets into the burn pot. Start stove with feed rate about 2-3. Let the pellets ignite fully, then turn pellet rate to about 5, less then max. Let a good flame develop for 5 minutes or so, then turn on the fan. I set the fan at about 3-4 as advised by the tech. Reduce feed rate to about 4. I keep my damper on 2 1/2 to 3 to supply air intake. Napoleon is not the greatest stove, and I'm having an issue with mine after 3 years, but hopefully this helps. It will never give the heat of a wood stove, but get a strong fire going first, then tune it down after the room gets warm.
