SOURCE: Power light flashing/ no picture

I have the same problem. The only way to get the TV to come on is to unplug it, but once you get it back on it turns itself off again in a few minutes.

SOURCE: TV Picture Goes Black

I had the same exact problem.
I removed the bulb and cleaned it. There is a small screen at the top of the bulb and it was covered with dust. Once it was cleaned I replaced the bulb and it solved the problem.
Thanks to those who posted the solutions

SOURCE: 47in Phillips-tv picture goes black still has

Could be the signal board has a bad cap, in this case it sounds like you are getting intermitten power to the inverters....when the tv goes down and of course you have audio....Shine a flashlight on to screen and see if you have a picture...look carefully. If this is the case..you have the above problem!

SOURCE: dynex 32" tv picture goes black

If there is still about ? 24. Volts coming from the Power Board when it goes dark, it will be the Inverter board that needs replacing. If not, it is the Power Board that needs replacing. The Voltages should be written next to the sockets & plugs on the Power Board.

I think your on the right path, start with the tcon board, could be the main as well but the tcon is way cheaper so start with that

Element model elefw327 screen went black but still has sound. Did flashlight test and saw picture.

One board in this TV. Find capacitor location ECB6. Its value 200 volts @ 33mf. Find a hobbiest to replace with same value. It should be an easy fix. Thanks for asking. Matt of Martins TV.
