Larry Ng Jan 24, 2021 off line today.???? they can answer that so easy,. w10 32bit for sure. !!!
came with XP new. and now 20 later W10 landed here like magic? no.

first off does w10 even run on this PC
    not 64bit ever.
and 2nd does w10 support this set of sound chips. NO,. lets go to and read your support page, and answer is NO !

2006 year made right at the end of the years supported not good.
old 915 intel chip set, never good that.
a weak version of Pentium M CPU 2003.
    Realtek ALC 880 chipset

no HP does not support it (so you come here)_
no MS does not support it.
No realtek does not either , for w10 ever.

just buy sound USB dongle new ,no not from 2006 and bingo it works.

there will be other problems but you will see all that later, like no or poor GPU support.
and same cure, new GPU card, GTX7xx up.

time to move at least 10 years into the future and 2016 or newer PC.
    get a Dell XPS8900 up
    or HP z600 up.
    you DIY.

  • Anonymous Jan 24, 2021

PnP failed because there are no drivers
and xp drivers do not run on w10 ever.
    XP is 2001 tech.
    today is 2021.

  • Anonymous Jan 24, 2021

    You missed the boat. sorry.

  • Anonymous Jan 24, 2021

HP does NOT support this old XP PC on w10
nor does Microsoft, in whole. on w10
buy new sound card, that is rated for W10
    end story. (for sound)

  • Anonymous Feb 02, 2021

    choices all
1: put it back in the trash. 2006 bad year.
    2: run vista. or XP
3: buy a newer PC. 2010 or newer i3-gen4 up.
4; buy all things failing now, like sound card then next the other things dead too.
    not seen yet,but will.

your PC has zero support now. it ended.
EOL end of life. best is to move on,

never put a $100 saddle on any $5 horse.

  • Anonymous Feb 02, 2021

    there is no support for
    old 915 intel chip set,
a weak version of Pentium M CPU 2003. (18 yo)
    Realtek ALC 880 chipset
    forget it.

    we call this trash.

  • Anonymous Feb 03, 2021

The PC came with a support disk new.
lost that? sure. after 13 years sure.
    XP support disk and drivers.
The makers of the PC does not support XP or this PC. nor upgrades to it. post there so all can laugh.
Some chips in any PC only run with their drivers. for sure sound. and there are none.
buy a sound card plug it in.(card or USB dongle) spend $4 (that shows w10 is supported )

  • Anonymous Feb 03, 2021

    last man on earth
trying to make XP drivers run on w10.
a time waster of endless magnitude for sure.

  • Anonymous Feb 08, 2021

buy new card. that runs w10
the card there is not told by you.
and can be any of 1000 made
your is in fact too old for W10 !!
buy new card. (sales ad shows, for windows 10)
    that is the cure.
winzip has no bearing in this problem ever.
as w10 does all that for free.
XP driver do not work in w10, for sure SOUND.

  • Anonymous Feb 08, 2021

learn that all things made have an end.
for sure chip makers that do not exist, now.
or do not support w10 now, (realtek)
some even ended at Vista, for sure.
    vast did.
    learn that first.
    XP drivers are no good.!!!

You must run Win ZP and download the drivers from your System Disk that was supplied when you purchased your machine.

dude UK, XP drivers do not run on w10 ever.
    winzip or 7zip.
the maker does no support w10 on this PC
MS does not support w10 on this PC
it is in fact too old.
but he can upgrade the sound card to one that is suported at w10 and shut down the other sound chip in BIOS first.
or buy USB sound dongle for $4 and be happy?

I ran Win Zip on my XP computer for years upgrading to Win 7 I used WinRAR and that reads anything. All you require is a little bit of research. I now have a propper computer, a Mac.

  • Anonymous Jan 28, 2021

you typed the name wrong, that is the problem.
Win Zp makes no sense at all ! sorry !
nor do XP drivers run on w10
Do you not know this simple basic PC fact?
we ran zip back in DOS days, it's not new.
    Mac is trash,
and we do not ever need to research how to use zip, did you no know windows 10 can read those fresh installed, OOBE?
hint no need for any winRar , no winzip nor 7zip, to read them.

what matters is OP has relic PC that does not run w10, (not fully)
    things that fail are.
sound no drivers on earth for w10 here.
NIC dead, chip dead, same reason.
wifi chip dead, this old. no drivers.
and GPU failing or stuck in the new MS limphome mode for GPU, with poor resolution but not dead.
or running VIA chips in old PC
    nor running Nforce old chips
    and more, stop full stop.

I tested all PCs back to 2005 for w10
and can tell you how all failed, sure can.
    w10, 32bit and 64bit.
64bit will never run here. ever.
and chip makers that still exist do not make 32bit driver, as 32bit is now officially dead.
but the OP can replace sound with a new modern card. that still does 32bit.
    some do.

no zip needed in w10, I guess you never run w10 for 5 years? that it.

My HP Pavilion Slimline s7510n PC has no sound. I upgraded my PC and from vista to 10, lost my sound. The PC says I have a working digital audio S/PDIF High Definition Audio Device but no sound.

ever seen this?
what is your VEN = DEV =

remove all usb device expect keyboard, and mouse
CP + sound, and push test here, sound is dead.
sound-syonphdjjaxh4y1sqzeedjjh-5-1.jpg then CP +device manager.

right click, the sound chip see below as 1
2: click details tab.
3: click hardware Ids
(report your code here and things get 10000x more easy, for sure.
sound-ids1jpg-syonphdjjaxh4y1sqzeedjjh-5-3.jpg Ven means vendor.
Dev means chip name (codes)
only this matters, we then see of the maker , even has a working w10 driver or at least VISTA.

My HP Pavilion Slimline s7510n PC has no sound. I upgraded my PC and from vista to 10, lost my sound. The PC says I have a working digital audio (S/PDIF) (High Definition Audio Device) but no sound.

HP did not say you can do that go to w10. so what makes you thing a sound chip works.
no sound from internal speaker or head phones and earbuds?
the service tag shows the full model and p/n
the part number tells the helper what sound chip of many was used.
Windows 10, 32 bit or 64.?
2006 PC, 11 years old, most dont do 64 that old. ever.
nor on this OLD DOG Celeron M 380 (D) 1.6 GHz
HP relic pages, Legacy pages (terse) shows SOUND AS:
Realtek ALC 880 chipset

so lets to go realtek , HP does not support w10 on old old PCs.
lets see of the chip maker supports w10 on this 11+ years old chip

here they are USA side,(not Taiwan)

shows nothing.
my guess no w10 drivers ever existed, nor will they
leaving (my guess 1, is Vista was last one)
trying any VISTA/W7/w8 drivers found, the MIGHT work.
or buying a USB sound dongle device, plug it in and have sound.

that is always to do that.
unless you can fit a new sound card in that slime line case.
id have to see inside it , go, will it fit or not. (size matters)

I've installed Cossacks (the Art of War) in Windows 7 Professional. HP-Pavilion Slimline s5710F. The game come up with double vision still can't play, everythink runs together.

You need to change your screen resolution to 1048X760 to work. And also if possible change your vga/hdmi card to more memory at least 64mb card. Then remove any video sharing on your bios. Hope this help.

Hp pavilion slimline s3020n PC the computer says no analog signal the problem is all the time cant run the computer at all.i have not tried to fix the problem myself

Does the computer turn ON? (do you hear beeps?, do you see lights on the computer NOT THE MONITOR?, do you hear the fans?, etc...) it could be the monitor, try an other one, it could be the video card, swap it with a known good one ,it could be the VGA cable change it, etc... if the computer is all dead try an other electric outlet.

Good luck!

I have a hp s7410n pc and update to w7 , now i dont have sound

When you updated the sound drivers probably were not windows 7 friendly.
You need to do two things first search for an updateed driver for your sound card.
Do a system restore before you upgraded and see if that works?

Start up Probelms HP Pavilion Slimline

Unplug the AC power, remove the battery, wait a full minute and then reinstall AC and battery. See, if you now power up. Most power up problems are related to AC power, DC input jack, motherboard, memory or processor. A lot depends on your comfort level and expertise in how far you should go in self diagnosis and repair. Good Luck.
