Question about Dewalt Audio Players & Recorders

Dewalt dwst-1 radio. Why did Audio suddenly stop?

Turned it on today and it was playing then it just cut out. It is still charging, turning on etc Just no volume.

I had the same problem and found that when I moved the speakers apart further...It works as well as it always did before my 8 speakers were introduced..I think the sound was interfering with itself.. Try it !!

Try and plug something in the aux. If you don't hear sound out of the aux when you plug something like your cd player in then your speaker cables have come off the circuit board or the out put transistor has gone on the radio. Sell on Ebay these go for a good price faulty.

usually when it cuts off that means its pushing too much power, might be that you have too many speakers in the car hooked up too it or that they have a very rare ohm rating which can sometimes effect how the stereo works. It also could be that one of the speakers wiring is hooked up wrong which you can usually tell by switching your balance back and forth between speakers, if it sound like more bass is coming out of one speakers then both usually means that one of them are hooked up wrong, not exactly shorting out but just switching the wires around will fix it

Why won't my DeWalt DC011 radio charger make sound? It will turn on and display the radio stations and charge the batteries, but there is no sound. The fuses are good, the batteries are good.

Either the output stage of the radio amplifier are faulty or the speaker(s) are open circuited. Unfortunately there is no easy fix without a dismantling of the unit and testing. Sorry

I have a Dewalt charger/radio (DC012 type 1) that was plugged into a 240v US outlet. The radio will come on with a battery in and work just fine, but with it plugged in it will not charge or play.

You burned out the AC circuit. Congratz, at least your radio still works. Use it on battery or take it to a radio technician to diagnose if it can be repaired. Presume it's worth.

Radio will only play using battery power only It will not play plug into power supply

Radio will not charge a battery but it will run off a fully charged battery

There is a charger module in the radio that may be bad. The module is well over $100, so maybe charging the battery in a seperate charger is the way to go.

Will not turn on has power to it from wall plug

if you place a battery in it and it still doesnt work you have to have it repaired by dewalt because this means you have no connection to power. but if you place a battery in it and it does work you have a short in the cord mostly happens when being pulled or gets snagged. either you or dewalt can fix the cord you jus have to find where the short is cut the cord and splice it back together covering it with electrical tape.

If you use your radio at work it could be exposed to dirt and dust and more! Could just need a good cleaning, drywall dust is terrible on electronics!
