My Samsung French door fridge #RF267abbp makes a knocking sound coming from the ice maker. The knocking lasts for about45 minutes and continues throughout the day and night, It is very annoying especially at 3 am.
You may have Ice buildup in the freezer. You freezer has a fan in the bak that sends the cool air to the fridge. Your fridge dial determines how muh cold air comes from the freezer. Try defrosting the freezer. You may have to pull the back panel off of the inside of the freezer to get the ice thawed. The ice build up is likely causing the air to not get to the fridge.
