You connect the blades together with the plastic part the correct way through the top of the small moving blade. The plastic part becomes a guide to keep the 2 blades running straight and true. Then engage the plastic part into the motor cam shaft and the 2 tension springs at the same time and wriggle it onto the screw hole posts and fit & tighten the screws. Lubricate and you're done.

Do you have a beard trimmer/clippers that don't hold the charge? Time to change the battery and give your beard trimmer a second life. .... Wahl Trimmer All-In-One Lithium Ion Unboxing - TimmyTechTV - Duration: 6:32. by ...
Bottom side (black on mine) has a finger grove section that comes off with a small flat blade screw driver used to pry up, 4 tabs, one on each corner (Exposes 2 screws). Need a sauder (spelling not my thing) gun to remove and batteries are 2 ea 1.2 v (looks between AA & AAA size). I'm just going to just buy another unit. Good luck!
The button info requested is almost 2 years old, but on my trimmer the button to the left of the power swt on the side is to lock the trimmer blade in the front or rear position. It is kinda weak and you can still move the blade if you push it. (I do seem to have the same one shown in the picture here.) Later! The Shadow
how long have had this cordless trimmer, you may need to replace the rechargeable battery inside the trimmer. if so have Contact [email protected] they are a Wahl Dealer they have all the parts for Wahl clippers.
Oiling the trimmer is very simple. It is only necessary to apply oil to the blades. Simply apply one or two drops of oil directly to the blades while running. This should be done before each use.
You should have gotten a bottle of the blade oil with your clipper. If you have also lost this, you can buy a bottle of Wahl clipper oil from shaveroutlet.com. see link below
It sounds like you may need to oil the blades with the clipper oil that is included with the kit when you bought it. The blades will become gummy and sticky after use. The "Wahl oil" provided with the clipper is specially designed to "de-gum" the blades and let them move freely. The knob you speak of only holds it from rotating and should have any affect on run time. The only other possibility is if the rechargable battery is at the end of its life which shouldn't be the problem unless it has been used a great deal.
Turn the trimmer off. Put your thumb under the teeth of the attachment. Push Up. The attachment should snap off. Replace the beard trimmer in the slot. Hope this helps.
