Being an active part of the digital age, we are well aware of how annoying can the buzzing noise from an equipment be. It is even more problematic when we are required to be productive, but the constant sound becomes a hindrance. This noise from active IT equipment in a high-technology workspace can lead to health issues like loss of productivity, work slowdown due to depression, and hearing impairment. Is it possible to soundproof a bird cage?

The product stickers are on the top of each server on the left rear corner. As each series has many variants it is best to look at the sticker. There should be screens on each side of each server these are screwed into the rack brackets. Unscrew them and slide the server out (they are on rails so they shouldn't fall.)

Am trying to covert an ML370 server I got yesterday to a rack mountable but finding it difficult to take off the cover.

Use the key to open the front door of the server. Lift the door and remove it. locate the screws that hold the cover remove the screw and remove the cover.

Note that you need to have MS370 rack Kit to be able to successfully do the conversion.

What is a 9 u rack what other sizes of rack do we have

A 9U rack has a front opening that is 40cm high.
1U is 4.45cm.
I have no idea what other sizes you have.

Oil leak

Sounds like the High Pressure Oil Pump mounting O seals. See if the soundproofing under the pump is soaked in oil to be sure.

Check on the HP website for BIOS updates and Firmware updates for your raid controller. This sounds very odd that there is a 28GB limitation on drive size? What size drives are in there now? They usually step up in size like 9GB, 18GB, 36GB, 72GB, etc.... Your IT guy maybe misinformed.
