That doesn't sound good. First thing to do is get into the unit and look for a glass fuse. Very often when power comes back on, there is a voltage surge.

You may need a new unit. You can claim against the electricity utility company, or your home insurance.

SOURCE: My Bosch Classixx 1200 washer causes the household RCD to trip

The first thing I would recommend u do is to remove the motor and check the carbons for wear, Their should be at least 3mm of carbon showing, any less then u shud replace.
The other possibility is a faulty heater element, u cud try it with the element disconnected, if it does not trip then the element is faulty.
Plz rate my solution.
thanks.

SOURCE: 2000 Elantra manual trans car won't crank

While the suggested resistance check of the clutch safety switch should catch a bad switch. However it may still be bad. I had the experience on my 2001 Elantra with the same problem happening intermittently. I checked and I had the delay check the switch and it looked okay. After three more trips and having them test other things including replacing the Starter motor under warranty they just replaced the switch. No more problem until 3 years later same thing started happening. I asked them to specifically check this and they just adjusted how far the switch button stuck out for teh clutch pedal to engage it under the dash. 4 days later it happened again. I said f it or something like that and went and bought the 15 dollar switch and put it in myself. I've not had a problem since then. But then I'm just coming up to the 3 yr anniversary of that switch.
You can also just bypass the switch and remember not to crank your starter without the clutch engaged unless you want to experience what whiplash is like firsthand.
Just change the switch.

Try the reset drive belt brush button - you'll find it underneath the main power switch on the handle. Also check the brush isn't clogged, by the sole plate by tipping it over and undoing the screws on the bottom place where the beater bar is.

SOURCE: Diplomat Softline ADP0300 Gas-just not cooking ...anything!

Hi there..
I Just recently had the same problem, also with a diplomat gas oven..
The problem I found was down to a small resetable component under the main cover. ..
It took me ages to find the problem and I had taken the whole electical parts of the oven to bits before 'accidentaly' coming across this 'thermal switch' (located inside the main cover, at the top, behind the display module).. - to reset this there is a tiny red button between the connectors.. press this - and it should all be fine again... : One importnat note is that this may be tripping as a consequence of the fan not running or by my thinking not running on after the oven is switched off, leaving the casing to heat up and then trip this switch component.. - if this component is faulty it can be found in RS components or Farnell components.. look for Thermal swich manual reset part no: L100C 9082 470.

Need to fix my range

OK, tell us what the trouble - ok? Are the fuse box fuses tripped that feed them 220voits? Flip and reset them - there will be 2 as a set usually, and showing the number 40 or higher number. Flip and reset means to move them to the off position and push them hard - which resets them to flow electricity again - when you flip them back to the on position. This is so if an electric range. Is it electric or gas?

A TOC is a bi-metal strip in a canister , they are normally placed on the motor windings and in most cases are auto-resetting.

All they do is sense the temperature of the windings and when they exceed the limit of the TOC (Which is set by the motor maker) they flip the Bi-Metal strip and open circuit the supply.

Normally once the motor has cooled down the strip relaxes back to the original position and the supply is restored.

It is not a standard practice to have a push button re-set however on that will depend on the makers whims

What you may have is a Thermal Fuse which melts if the motor gets too hot and you then need to strip the unit down to both check it and if possible replace it.

By looking at the rating plate on the motor you may find the manufacturer and approach them for a data sheet

LG TV 32LB9D VOLUME STUCK AT 100, NO RESPONSE TO REMOTES

The fault may be on the control board. Sometimes the button switches can be stuck, or there may be something causing some conduction on the control circuit board. It is also possible to have a component failure that is causing a continuous command to keep the volume to the high position.

Something that causes failures of controls in TV sets is when people clean the screen, they spray liquid cleaner on the screen. Some of it drips down in to the controls and on to the circuit board. This will usually cause damage, and thus the set will require shop service.

Picture flips from color to black and white continuously

I believe your set has a loose conection that needs to be resoldered ,every time you hit it reacts and that is good, you need to use a wooden or rubber handle to tap in the main board, around the tuner and in different areas until it reacts,be attentive when it does so you can flip the board and resoldered the area that made it react, once the problem is corrected you need to resoldered any other overheated areas and there should be a few in your set, check the grounds in the tuner(where the coax goes in the inside,is a silver box),the horizontal driver transformer and output transformer.Be careful while you do this and stay away from the thick red wire going to the back of the picture tube specially when the set is on. Let Us know how it goes or if you need more information.
