Why is the RCA jacks on my CRT TV for video 2 have the screen be in black and white whenever I have my Nintendo GameCube being hooked up to video 2 but on Video 1 it is fine then ?

This is a known problem. Panasonic sells a jig to correct it. I had the same problem and bought the jig for $60. It plugs into a special port in the back of the tv behind a little door. SOURCE: Black and White video on S-Video output

The Concept of S-video is Splited Video Signal (Luminance for black and white, Chrominance for colors), in your case the luminance is ok but there is no chrominance out. Expert technician is required: Check for dry solder at the s-video out outlet. Good Luck Toufic Malek

I own a DMR-ES20 and had that problem. Panasonic Customer Service gave me a fix that works.
On the unit itself, press STOP and PLAY at the same time for about 10 seconds. This fixed my player.

it seems to be a bad connection somewhere but I disconnected the ribbon cable and got a verticle line of snow instead of a blank line. the line is about 34 mm wide and starts 285 mm from the left edge starts on the Blue and goes to the Red pixels. so if they are 1mm wide that would be 34 bands of color.

I would sure like to figure out the solution to this one or I got a TV I need to throw away cause the o'lady is gonna bust my balls if I can't fix this!
