Usually there is a short in the system when fuse is blown. Check the cord as sometimes mouse can damage the cord. It is a posibility.
Check power to the electronic board.
Is it still working? If you can smell ammonia, I would say that there is a very small leak. Over time, the fridge will lose its efficiency and take longer and longer to cool down. Eventually, it wont cool at all once all the gas has escaped. From what I remember of Dometic fridges, is that they used to supply exchange refrigeration units. You remove the entire refrigeration system and swap it for a new or rebuilt system. It worked out a lot cheaper than buying a new fridge.
These often have a recall kit installed that has a thermal fuse in the burner area....when the burner overheats the thermal fuse shuts the hole thing down to prevent fire, the ammonia smell is probably from the cooling unit. check under your burner, to see if you see a bright yellow powder or liquid if you do, your cooling unit is for sure bad and is dangerous to run. The thermal fuse shuts the fridge down completely and can be reset by pushing in the button in the middle.
Sounds like the evaporator fan is not working. Check to see if you can hear the fan running in the freezer. If not running, try removing the panel in the back of the inside freezer and manually spin the fan blade . This sometimes works.
Yes more than likely the cooling unit is going bad. If your boiler tube is hot the cooling unit is no good. Your frig is 13 years old, it has reached its life span and beyond. A cooling unit or a new frig can be purchased from www.coachtech.info. Just send them an e-mail.
