Isn't it ovbious...no backlight = bad lamps, of 100 sets I work on with no picture but sound 95 of them turn out to be bad backlights, it's unfortunate you waisted money on a power board as it could have been tested verses replace it
Remove your power cord, then remove the back panel. The backlight is in behind the panel and since this is a Vizio, repair manuals are not easy to come up. You'll have to experiment or check YouTube to see if you find a Vizio backlight repair.
Your going to need new LED backlight strips to fix it, on a larger set its not an easy job but if a lot of pictures are taken when taking it apart its something you can do, to have it professionally fixed will run between $250 and $350
If the picture is there but dark that means that your backlight has failed. Based on the age, this set likely uses a Cold Cathode for the backlight. The driver boards for these do fail over time and unless the tubes themselves have failed, likley a new backlight driver board will fix the problem. Check Ebay as a good source for parts.
It can be that the inverter is not getting the 24vdc fromt he power supply module, check for that first, you can check it at either the power supply termninals or at the inverter board. Look to see if the power supply has any leaking/bulging top caps. Modules are easy to replace, fixing it down to component level is not so easy unless you have proper tools an electronics knowledges.
