SOURCE: moving problem

More than likely its the speed pod or engager (paddle assy. This would need to be replaced.

SOURCE: bmw z3 passenger seat goes forward backwards but

It can also be theseat motor since there is seperate motors for up/down & forward/backwards. You can test the switch to see if you are getting power to the connector on the motor by using a multimeter.

If there is power to the motor, I would remove the motor and give it a tap on the ground. Alot of the time the motor is fine, and the tap will free it up again. If it doesn't work you may be up for a new seat motor. Giving mine a tap solved the issue with mine.

SOURCE: Rascal mobility scooter will now only go backwards

On some scooters it is possible to change the polarity of the motor. If its a two brush motor (most are) you can just swap the red and black wires around in the connector plug for the motor. Make sure you get the right wires if you do this but I have to point out that there is obviously a problem with the scooter and I would strongly advise you to get it looked at by your local dealer as the problem is potentially serious and may cause other problems aswell. I cant really understand why it would only go backwards. May be a throttle pot problem or main controller fault. Either way, as I said, best get it looked at as even if you do swap the wires, it is most likely that the scooter will only travel forward at the usual speed for reverse, normally 2mph! Hope this helps...

My rascle388xl mobility scooter keeps stopping and there is a bleep noise coming from the back, can you help please

Sounds like the wig-wag is at fault. That's the lever you push to go forwards or backwards. if the lever is very loose, it needs replacing.

How do i turn of the beep when it goes backwards

This is the reverse alarm, which is activated when reversing the scooter - mainly to let others and yourself know that the scooter is reversing. This can only be disabled by re-programming the controller, which you would have to take to a local dealer to be done. Alternativley, if there is a secondary horn for the reverse bleep, then this can be cut (This will void your warranty)

GoGo Elite 4 wheel scooter - appears to be fully charged but when you try to go forward it goes a foot then stops. I get 2 beeps. It will go in reverse with no problem. If I am not sitting in it you can...

How old is the scooter? 2 Bleeps indicates low battery voltage, and such, require replacement. When you are in reverse, the current draw is a lot less than when going forward, just like not being sat on the scooter too. As soon as any real load is applied to the scooter, the power will drop down below 16v and will cause a controller trip (2 bleeps)
However, this could also be caused by bad battery connections, either inside the battery box, or where the contacts meet on the bottom of the pack - onto the chassis. Check for discoloured pins / connections.

I have a Sterling Micro 3 wheeled scooter. When I turn the throttle off the scooter carries on rolling and does not stop like it used to. Anybody know whats gone on my scooter?

Hi, Okay first of all the throttle pot may not be returning to the central position any-more normally this causes a error condition, a bleeping sound, the other thing is the brake is not working correctly , it be worn or not releasing , Do you hear a click when going forward or backwards ?, Some Sterling's work with the brake disconnected so check the wiring.. remember 24v is applied to the electromagnic brake to release the plates allowing you to move, keep me posted please.
