If you have the battery inside the Vehicle the gas of of the battery is very explosive so you want it vented well. Do not put it in the compartment with the converter because gas from the battery can build up and the converter could cause an explosion. Also the gas is dangerous to breath in. It can cause Brain aneurysms if the fumes are breathed in. So if at all possible put it out side and inside the frame rail to keep it from being hit. Also use a Truck kill switch cost about $35.00 and will carry up to 200 amps of draw on the battery that way if you have any problems at all you can disconnect it with the disconnect switch. this is a safety device to keep you safe in case of an accident. You should use the newer dry cell batteries to get rid of the gassing of the battery. If you need more information let me know.

Outside for sure, never inside, very dangerous. Is this a trailer or Van?

There should be an outside compartment with vented door for the battery, or a spot for it on tongue area. Look for your 12 volt electrical hook up wires outside trailer, the place for battery to mount, should be there.

Never inside. Should be a compartment on outside of trailer with vented door, or on tongue of trailer, wherever your wiring harness is .

Reasons for misfire in a 3.8 ford wind star

What year and how many miles on it? Tune up, intake leaks, on the inside of the plenum there are grommets that will get hard and cause misfires, EGR, O2 sensors, Air filter, fuel filter and bad catalytic converters, vacuum leaks, head gaskets, Then we can go to the computer side of it. I have a 2000 windstar have been though most of this. Besides this stuff, it's been a good van.

Where is the water leak in my AC thats flooding the front carpet of my Chevrolet Venture. I have only been driving the car when the weather is dry. Even when I do not wash the car the inside of the carpet...

The a/c drains the condensation water out thru the floor by a small hose or tube.
If you look under the van near the passenger side floor at the firewall you should see a small tube and it may be stopped up.
You may have to put the van on a lift to find the tube.

I just read an answer post you had made in response to a question about a 2003 Chevy Astro van vacuum line keeping the vents from switching from defrost to floor, to dash vents, etc., you mentioned...

I didn't initially answer your question, or even read it but I know what you are talking about. The source vacuum to the HVAC system inside the van. It attaches to a vacuum port on the left side of the engine just above valve cover attached to a bracket. They are very brittle plastic and break easily. I found it better to replace the vacuum line with small rubber line, such as washer fluid hose. Its easier to route and can be installed without bending plastic. Feed it from the left side vacuum "T" above the left valve cover, over to the heater valve on the right side in heater hose split. Its the source vacuum to inside, and if lost it defaults to the defrost mode and won't change modes.

Hi, the deep cycle battery is for the home part and should charge through the external connector port. The regular battery is for the engine. Is the regular battery charged up too?

Driving a 2003 Ford windstar. Went to pass and

Very common on this make and model trans, pump drive splines inside torque converter strip out and pump is not turning, Most times there is no damage to pump shaft. Remove trans and remove torque converter, inspect the splines at the very bottom of the hub hole. If stripped out inspected pump shaft splines which are the smaller center splines coming out of trans, if ok replace torque converter and re-install trans, change out fluid, clean any metal from magnet and replace filter, fill with fluid and verify proper operation.

Where do I adjust the e brake sensor on my 2003 Mustang GT Convertable? The e brake light blinks on and off while changing gears. Also what tool do I use to make the adjustment?

There are two places to adjust the e brake. The most important one is under the drivers side chassis and the other is on the console e brake lever at the base. You may need a very deep socket to adjust the one on the console. thanks, Dana
