How many amps is 24w

You can calculate (but not convert) the watts from amps and volts:

2A to watts calculation with voltage of 12V DC

For DC power supply, watts are equal to amps times volts.
watts = amps × volts
tip

What Watt Power Supply?

If you need to know what wattage power supply you need for your device and the label has Volts and Amps, use this formula to figure it out.

Multiply the Volts times the Amps and this will equal the Watts.

The label on the device should list these numbers.

Amps to high on power supply

Yes and the convertor could be faulty or the polarity at the DC plug that connects to the TV is incorrect. Check the power supply at DC plug with a multimeter.
If the power convertor is an unregulated then the voltage could be higher than 19.37 volts because the TV is drawing half the amps the convertor is producing.

Looking for schematics of ATX200-3516 ASTEC power supply. When i plug in a dc motor i have a peak of current firstly more than 6 Amps (6 amps is max rating at 12 Volts in such supply). So It shut the...

If your power supply is rated 6 AMPS and your motor is rated 14 amps peek, then when that motor starts it will draw the 14 AMPS, That will trip the power supply right then and there. After it runs a few seconds the AMPS will drop about ½ that, but still 7 AMPS is more then the power supply is rated, so you will need a different power supply.

This generator is a 5KW model. This means it can supply up to 5000 watts of power, total. Not all devices list the watts they need to be provided - instead these devices list the power they need as volts and amps. This can make it hard to determine what the actual watt requirements are for the device.

Overly simplified, watts is equal volts times amps (watts = volts x amps). A single 120 volt light bulb that uses .833 amps consumes 100 watts. If you checked a regular 100 watt light bulb with an ammeter, you'd find it does indeed draw .833 amps.

Working the formula a different way, we can learn how many amps this 5000 watt generator can supply at 120 volts, too. If all the loads you need to connect to this generator are 120 volt types, that means the total amount of amps the generator can supply is 5000 watts / 120 volts = 41 amps purely resistive loads (like a toaster or light bulb) maximum under ideal conditions. There is never a time when ideal actually happens, and not all loads are purely resistive - many are inductive. Inductive loads are motors (like your A/C), fluorescent lamps, computer power supplies, etc. - so figure more like around 30 amps total instead.

If you try to connect devices that require more than 30 - 35 amps, the generator will probably have problems trying to supply this load for any longer that a short length of time. Additionally, motors like those in A/C compressors draw significantly more power when first starting and can cause the problem you are describing. Try running the generator with loads other then the A/C to see how well it can supply the load(s). Or try running only 1 A/C unit and other non-A/C loads.

What I'm trying to tell you is that you may need to do some active load management to be sure that you aren't trying to get more power out of the generator than it is capable of supplying. You may need additional generators or swap this one to a larger size to handle the load properly and safely.

I hope this helps & good luck!

Just installed new steam shower, it produces steam for about 5 minutes and then blows the fuse

Based from your comments, a new steam shower that blows the fuse in five minutes. You could have installed a new steam shower that is much bigger than what you previously have.
1. For a 5000 watts steam shower at 220 volts
power must have a fuse rating of 40 amps, supply
wires of at least No. 6 AWG Type THW ; and at
110 volts a fuse rating of 80Amps, supply wires
of at least No. 2 AWG type THW.
2. For a 4000 watts at 220 volts, Fuse: 30 amps,
Supply wire: No. 10 AWG type THW. At 110volts
60 amps, Supply wires : No. 4 AWG Type THW
3. For a 3000 watts at 220 volts, Fuse: 20 amps
Supply wire: No. 10 AWG type THW; At 110volts
Fuse: 40 amps, Supply wire: No. 6 AWG THW
4. For a 2000 watts at 220 volts, Fuse: 15 amps
Supply wire: No. 10 AWG THW and at 110 volts
Fuse: 30 amps, Supply wire: No, 8 AWG THW

What kind of external power supply does the media speaker needs?

Juster-Avia 3D-107 Media speakers.

I wanted to know what kind of external power supply it needed. I open the case and saw 4 diodes which tells me is a bridge rectifier circuit. I also looked at the filter cap and saw ????uF at 28 volts. Therefor, I did the Scientific Wild *** Guess( A.K.A. SWAG METHOD)
12 volts AC out at 1.6 amps or higher.

Wanting to install a mp6212 cd player in my tool box at work

for proper operation, you will need 12V.
Some vehicles wont start unless there aer 8V.
Minimally 8VDC, but 12V recommended for proper internal amplifier operation. Purchase a used PC Power supply, and wire directly to the hard drive power pug. Inverters are also available.
BTW Amps are a measure of AC Current, not DC. DC is measured in Volts.
An Electrical appliance rated to work on AC will not work with DC, and vice versa.
You will need an invertor of some type to change the signal and wavelength.

Did he fry it?

It just had a bad current that went through it the player shouldn't fry, check the battery voltage see if its still got the original voltage if not it will be under its capacity. Rejuvenate the battery and use the right power supply this time. If its still under warranty take the player and its original charger back to where you got the player from and they might swap it out.
